Dr. Mordechai Twena, MD

Dr. Twena performed abdominal surgery on me while I was in the hospital. He never checked up on me until I was being discharged. While removing bandages he was insulting to me and made me feel awful. He probably thought he was joking but it was incredibly unprofessional. I would never see him again or recommend him to anyone.

Horrible horrible horrible. Would not allow my wife to get a 2nd opinion on a surgery and when she pushed for it, he quit as her doctor. He lied as to what he was saying and planning to do. Told my wife one thing then entered different info on his notes in their system. Even the nurse said "he didnt do that" or "he didnt say that." Said my wife was ready for and accepting surgery when we asked for a 2nd opinion. He is quick to jump to surgery without offering other less evasive options. He actually told my wife good luck finding another surgeon. Horrible attitude and is not looking out for the patients best interest, just his bank account. Stay away!

Twena was called to give his opinion regarding stomach pain my wife was having. He was not happy he had to wait outside while the nurses were fixing her IV. When he came into the room he said the CT scan was unclear but it could be her appendix. More likely he believed it was a problem with her colon and the whole thing would have to be removed. He started getting the staff ready for surgery and wouldn’t let my wife eat or drink anything. Turns out that after a second look at the CT scan with the radiologist it was not the appendix or colon that needed to be removed. He wants to cut on people. Beware or he’ll remove something from you that doesn’t need to be removed.

He is superior! Did hernia repair on my brother and was so conscientious and an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Twena and His staff are absolutely top notch. They are friendly, professional and efficient. But most of all, they listen to what you have to say and act on it without dismissing anything. I am truly impressed.

Excellent professional! Small imitate staff and office that remind you of country doctor that has known you all your life!

Dr. Twena was very kind and informed about my problem. He put me at ease right away. His staff was very friendly and helpful.

I think he saved my life and I didn't know that I (or at least my leg) was dying. Straight-forward talk and will spend whatever amount of time needed to discuss and inform you about your condition. I have appreciated his candor and professionalism.

I have been a patient to Dr. Twena for three different(not related) surgeries over the last seven years, He is always very informative and tells it like it is which i like just a give it to me straight kinda doctor. He was willing to go the extra mile and if not for him my cancer probably would have spread but when other doctors didn't feel necessary he went with his gut and not just text book to order more test and for that I owe this man my life. I could go on and on but just wanted to let EVERYONE know with him on your side you are in GOOD hands...DR Twena I am Extremely grateful and Thankful to you.
