My career in healthcare started in 2016 when I earned my first bachelor's degree which was in exercise science. My love for fitness bloomed into an even bigger passion for overall health and wellness when I became a registered nurse the next year. \n I thrived in the hospital setting - particularly in the cardiac and intensive care units. While I loved helping my critical patients, I realized I could make an even bigger impact on people's lives by becoming a family medicine nurse practitioner. \n After seven years of being at patients' bedside in the hospital, I decided it was time to build long-lasting relationships with my patients. So, I began to work as a nurse practitioner and offer patients a safe, judgment-free zone. My degree in exercise science is still useful, as I'm always encouraging good nutrition and daily movement to prevent and manage diseases. \n I love educating my patients and helping them fully understand their conditions and treatment plan. I'm thorough in my …physical exams and in the way I communicate. My goal is always to help my patients become the best and healthiest versions of themselves. \n My husband also works in healthcare, and he's my biggest supporter. When we're not working, we enjoy travel, weightlifting, ballroom dancing in our dance studio and performing in shows. We recently welcomed our first child, and we love every minute of being new parents. Our family also includes two large, energetic dogs. We enjoy taking them on long trail walks.
