Dr. Morolake Onikepe Amole, MD

I will only tell you what happened to me in hopes it doesn’t happen to you. I saw Dr. Morolake Amole early 2024 for the first time. I’m new in Florida and need a Thyroid specialist and she came up with good ratings and in my insurance. She proceeded to get all my blood work and ordered an ultrasound of my Thyroid. This all happened in the next 3 months. Mid year she never contacted me with the result i had to keep asking. I was told that i had 2 nodules on my thyroid and that my TSH was nonexistent and need to lower my dose of meds. No problem, I was hoping for that because i was having the worst sweats and needed them under control. Oh my T3 and T4 were fine in range and I’m hypothyroidism seemed out of wack. Anyway, she proceeded to lower my dose and she wanted just to wait on the nodules too see if they got bigger. Early 2025 we went in for another ultrasound which i had to persuade them to do. All the ultrasounds were done in office (seemed like a good idea). Now there were 5… nodules and they have grown. Dr. Amole didn’t really say anything. Let me back up a bit, i had my husband in every visit because after the first one I didn’t understand what she was saying, so i thought it best to get another pair of ears in. He’s a very educated man, and he came out spinning to. First she said 5 nodules and all different sizes, from 1.29 cm to 3 cm and it bounced around a lot. So right now im confused and worried, who wouldn’t be. I wanted to go to a specialist or a surgeon right away but i never got anything from Dr. Amole except ok, or maybe we should wait……really? This whole time i had a gut feeling she wasn’t very experienced in this but i thought, she sees an ultrasound she’s got to see the nodules. Ok, so after that visit she suggest a biopsy, I said anything….what ever you need, i was very worried. Late March and i went in for a biopsy, this consisted of a long needle inserted in to the thyroid multiple times, 5 times to be exact with each time there was 10 to 20 plunges of the needle. Ouch! Ouch is right. Dr. Amole did the procedure and she didn’t seem to experienced, a bit shaken. The person that took the biopsy from her kept telling her NO! Nothing! (Scary) she had ultrasound with her doing the location, but nothing came in the biopsy. After the procedure i went home not feeling good about it at all. I decided to go to another doctor in April. Dr. Evana Valenzuela Scheker, oh my god, she is a gods gift to the world. Not only did she hear my whole life story but listen with full attention and put me at ease, she said lets look at your thyroid. She explained ever picture and every move she did. My husband was in the room too, I wasn’t going to do this along either. I brought all my paperwork and images from Dr. Amoles office so she could see what I’ve been told. The first thing Dr. Valenzuela Scheker says, Lets get this straight, I do not see any nodules! Holy **t, seriously are you sure???? Nope, not a one. First, what a relief, second me and my husband look at each other and were so happy. Damnn Dr. Amole! Dr. Valenzuela Scheker proceeded to give me new prescription for a lower dose of my meds because she said my TSH was still to low, and ordered blood work in 3 months to recheck. Another thing i have to say, when i first mention to Dr. Valenzuela Scheker that i was coming from Dr. Amole practice, her eyes rolled a bit. She never mentioned anything bad, just “Oh, i understand”. So this is my story, i hope helps you decide what’s right for you.
