Terrible terrible service! My brother just had surgery today. He was very unprofessional and was screaming at my mother and brother. He needs a reality check. It is his job to care for the patient and be professional. He doesn’t need to yell at anyone. Yes people are scared they are having surgery done on their face. I do NOT recommend this doctor to anyone. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. Horrible servide and the nurses aren’t any better. Terrible terrible.

I did not see Dr Moses since I never made it past the waiting room after waiting for 2 hours, so I cannot comment on the doctor but I will comment on the office and hope nobody else goes through what I did. My son was referred by his dentist for 2 wisdom tooth extractions. He is autistic so is on Medicaid, which this dentist takes. I read many reviews before deciding to go there (SI office) and they all said that the wait time was horrific and that a few had to wait to get authorizations while in the office. So when I called for the appointment, I made mine for the first one in the morning, and I specifically asked them if any authorization were needed, so that it could be done beforehand. They assured me that there are never any needed with medicaid. We arrived on time and the office was already filled with about 30 people. We signed in, gave all the info to the receptionist, and waited for 2 hours. When we were called in, we were told that there is a problem. Since my son's MEDICAL… is covered under a third party payer, they would not see him. I told them that his DENTAL is not covered by that party, that it is only medical and that other dentists found this out before being seen and knew how to take care of it. They told me the only way I can take care of it is to call GHI (medical) and have them send ME a letter stating that he is not covered for dental, then I have to send that letter to Medicaid for the medical to be removed. I said that my son cannot wait this long, as he is in a bit of pain, and I would be willing to pay in cash RIGHT NOW so he could be seen. They said NO. A DOCTOR WHO DOES NOT TAKE CASH! So we were forced to leave after waiting a week for the appointment and 2 hours in the office. I did contact my medical insurer and got the letter faxed to me that day and I faxed it right to Medicaid (after being on the phone with them for an hour getting the right info) But then I realized that this could happen again if I went back to Dr Moses. What if we are there for the procedure and wait for 2 hours again and are told that Medicaid did not clear it? Could not take that chance. So I was able to get an appointment for 2 days later at a specialist and had to pay in cash. IF YOU MUST USE THIS OFFICE< BE PREPARED TO WAIT FOR HOURS AND MAKE SURE THAT YOUR INSURANCE IS PERFECT AS THEY WILL NOT DO WHAT MOST OTHERS DO< WHICH IS CHECK YOUR INSURANCE BEFOREHAND!

I went to the staten island office and it was clean i saw the advanced oral surgeon Dr.Datson and he was very nice and did an excellent job on my tooth exposure

I went to staten island office.was so scared about getting extraction. The receptionist was polite professional. The staff inside made me feel at ease.I can't say enough about Dr.datson, he was comforting eased my anxiety. Gave me twilight sedation. It was over so fast I had no idea I had a tooth pulled.I felt nothing.Thank You Dr.Dotson.

The office is in a great location but the rooms inside the office need some sprucing up. The people who sign you in are good and treat you well. The Dr. himself is a great guy, very personable and seems to know his stuff. he told me exactly what to expect and was totally painless.

I usually never write reviews, but I guess it's about time. I came to this office to pull out one of my wisdom teeth, but Doctor Datson convinced me to remove all 4 of them, since they were on the verge of becoming a problem. A shocking procedure, indeed, yet everything was done with precise professionalism. I guess people underestimate him because they are in a lot of pain after the narcosis wears out (which is actually fine - otherwise, how could you make sure you're alive? :) ). He was very caring, he answered all of my questions and made sure that I am ready for the procedure. I felt like I'm in very good hands although I am scared of dentists to death. Highly recommend him if you want everything to go smooth and if you have trust issues with dentists/oral surgeons.

Great dentist, terrible staff.. Very rushed but a good job.

Poor bedside manner. Procedure was very painful. Little to no regard given.
