Dr. Mouen A Khashab, MD

So disappointed. He removed a stent from my stomach and I haven’t been able to keep anything down. For over 3 weeks I have been calling and leaving messages and no one will return them. I am constantly vomiting and in severe pain. He clearly doesn’t care what happens when you leave. I am now seeking another doctor

Looking back, I wished I had looked for another doctor or gotten a second opinion because the office visit with Dr. Khashab seemed to be short and I felt as though I did not get to fully explain my condition. Also, after undergoing the procedure, I did not like the fact that he did not see me when I had to spend a night in the hospital; instead, he sent another doctor to see how I was doing. Also, when I was having questions and issues about my condition, I could not really talk to him directly; instead, I had to contact his nurse practitioner. Even when, I had a second in-office visit with Dr. Khashab as a follow-up, I did not seem him; instead, I saw the nurse practitioner. I am currently having digestive issues, so I will be searching to find a different specialist (not Dr. Khashab) who can treat my issue.

Dr. M. Khashab saw me for ten minutes and hardly listened to me, he had a resident tell me my diagnosis which turned out to be wrong. I could not eat, I choked on my food. I received proper care with another doctor and and another diagnosis.

Dr. Khashab treated me for a rare and frightening condition that ended positively, thanks to his care and skill. Despite a demanding schedule, he and his staff were always responsive to questions and concerns. Dr. Khashab is definitely the doctor you want if you have a serious problem.

He is one of the worst doctors that I have ever seen. Zero stars. I had a stent in my bile ducts and my bilirubin raised. He put another metal stent inside the previous one, and it blocked my bile duct completely. He could use a removable plastic stent, but he thought that I am going to die he put permanent and he messed up. Now it is five years I am living with external stents because of his mistake. After the procedure, I never saw him, and he never asked what happened to his patient.

Went to Hopkins to see this guy because all of my previous tests were negative. He diagnosed me with narcotic bowel syndrome which has nothing to do with my 70 lb. weight loss, severe upper abdominal pain, fainting, etc. I have been in the nursing profession since the late 70’s. He dismissed me after one appointment. No phone call from him or follow-up. In the meantime I am wasting away and in severe pain.......feel like I am dying. Do not go to see this guy.!

My Mom was facing a rough hurdle in her pancreatic journey. Dr. Khashab's ingenuity and skill prevented her from having an outside drain placed which would have severely impacted on the quality of her life. He has since performed two stent replacements and each time our respect for his skill increases. He is positive and encouraging and his staff is wonderful about responding to questions. I wish my words would better convey our highest endorsement.
