Amazing doctor

Dr. Ayas decided my son had nothing wrong with him before he even examined him. He told me to punish my autistic son for having accidents. This is completely unacceptable. I don’t trust his diagnosis because he came up with it before he even looked at or touched my child. Do not take your child to this doctor

I was very satisfied with our visit and the doctor. He took his time to explain things to me.

He was nice, though after my child was diagnosed, he told us what he was suspecting, biopsy confirmed but never brought us into office to discuss or gave us detailed information educated myself off internet. Takes several phone calls to office to get things resolved, half the time they say they will call back and never do. His office nurse Sarah was very kind and I received more information from her than actual doctor. Will be seeing another physician.

I love this doctor. I had a different GI specialist for my older son, that I intended to have my second son treated by but couldn't get an appointment for months. Since my pediatrician is a Beaumont doctor, but I didn't like the other GI specialist at Beaumont I decided, reluctantly to try again but with a different doctor. WORLD of difference. Dr. Ayas treated my two week old infant amazingly. He accurately diagnosed him and had him on track within about a month. Considering the poor kid can't eat anything that has been exposed to Milk, soy, nuts, eggs or seafood, and it was trial and error to figure them all out, that time frame was fantastic! With my first son, he was sick for months!! and is now food adverse because of all his GI issues. My second son it's night and day! Happy, happy healthy baby! I can't rave about this doctor enough. He is also the only doctor that caught the fact my oldest son had not grown, due to a years lost growth because of food allergies we thought had… been cleared. He quickly established that my son was in the less than 1 percentile, got us into see his favorite endocrinologist and we changed his diet (again) and now my boy has gained 3 and 3/4 inches in a year. I can't recommend this doctor any stronger

Taken both my children to see Dr Ayas. He is wonderful.

Last 3-5 appointments I've waited over an hour (just in the waiting room). Once he was finally in my room for my appointment (after another 15-20 minutes) he asked me questions he should already know the answer to. Only continuing to see him until I graduate college and have time to focus on finding a different gastroenterologist.

I had a horrible experience with this doctor. I took my 8 month old son to see him today for GI issues, it was our first visit. My pediatrician had referred me. The first thing he asked me is if I was his foster mother because I had little information on his father's medical history. Then he proceeded to be rude and dismissive with me, barely assessed my son, and made me feel as though I had delayed treatment negligently on my son, when I have been working with his pediatrician for months to address his problems and get this referral. I left his office almost in tears, feeling judged, mistreated, and most of all, concerned that once again my son was not going to get the care and attention he needed to feel better. I have a follow-up appoint with him in 2 weeks that I will avoid at all costs if I can see another GI specialist instead. When I called my pediatricians' office to discuss this issue, it became apparent that this is not the first time they've heard unfortunate opinions of his… bedside manner. Don't go to this doctor if you want your concerns heard and addressed, of if you want to feel like he care about your child, because he doesn't.
