This office is one I would recommend to all my friends and family. I came to this office not as a patient but as a caregiver. My mom was having issue with the stomach. Dr. Ahmed and is staff were caring and compassionate with mother and I.

I was in the office with my mother for her appointment. Doctor Ahmed and his staff went out of their way to put my mother and I at ease for GI issues. One of the staff members even waited with my mother while I went to get my car. I will recommend this office to all of my friends and family.

The staff in the glass terrarium behind an old wooden front door cannot find their medical files, they are rude, and the office is filthy. There is a reason that the office is called Gastrointestinal Diseases.

For this unfortunate, but very pleasant, credentialed, educated, experienced, recent Frederick area physician, taking over a retired practice that hasn't advanced one iota since 1970's(?), this will be an uphill climb for him. A total vote of "no confidence" due to antique office and paper records. I assume no computer for hospital labs/radiology, but not sure. For this new physician, he will need to expend capitol just to fix up the office, which is in a 1960's house near the hospital. No partners. No parking except on the street. Will see how out-pt procedure goes. If nice & friendly quaint is what you're looking for, you'll enjoy the setting. Office was running 30 minutes late, but physician was talking w/pts with attention.

I have had nothing but a totally great experience with Dr. Ahmed. I have been a mystery for the past 2 years and he has been the only specialist who has refused to give up on me and is still working with me. He won't give up until a diagnosis is determined in my case.This is what every patient can expect.
