Dr. Mu Wang, MD

Seemed annoyed at me asking questions. Did not even give my child a physical exam. Dismissed his symptoms and gave no suggestions. We will never see him again.

Our son had a procedure today. We have been anxious the entire week following our preliminary appointment because I read the negative reviews. What nonsense. Dr. Wang is focused, thorough, and spent ample time with us during post procedure recovery. He is blunt. Some people are only used to sugar-coated or watered down explanations. Not me. Not my family. We want the details and he delivers with full scope explanations and illustrations. The reviewers caught up on bedside manners should consider what they want from their healthcare. His time is scarce, and other patients need his time too, so I don't require lengthy salutations. As for the combativeness comments, it's likely a misunderstanding. Once, when I asked a question the answer didn't make sense. He tried to re-explain, perhaps getting a little willful, until we realized we were miscommunicating, and then moved forward together. I didn't take offense, but some self absorbed might. Patients need to ask… questions, and sometimes this is overwhelming. As well, Physicians not only treat, they also communicate our options to us without knowing what we already understand about our ailments. In short, I've seen unworthy specialists, but Dr. Wang is not one of them. Our son was in good hands today. And Dr. Wang, if you're reading this, we say "Thank You!"

While not overly impressed with this doctor, our choices were limited on who we could see in our area. The final visit and associated tests were the determining factor we needed to see a referral to someone else. Dr. Wang is very combative, does not like answering questions or being questioned and cannot provide a clear plan of care for our child. He mocks his peers within the same hospital and when we asked for next steps for our child's issues, he had no answer for us. After several questions we asked of his after our child's procedure he finally said "you know I don't have to be standing here talking to you about this" at which time he threw paperwork onto the hospital room bedside table and walked out. We are now travelling 2 hours to see another specialist.

Our visit with Dr Wang was the worst doctors visit we have ever had. He wasn't able to provide answers to our sons issues, but when asked about what our other options we may have, he became argumentative and then offered invasive treatment that wasn't needed. At the end of our visit, I asked about a medication and he said it was a good place to start. Very frustrating knowing that the doctor wasn't able to provider a clear treatment plan for our son and I was able to determine the best course of action for his issues.

Dr. Wang is very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. He doesn't rush through the appts. He takes the time to speak to my child, asking/answering questions, and explaining everything we need to know. He is always concerned and proactive regarding my son's health. He is really great about putting my mind at ease. I highly recommend!!

While Dr. Wang presumably knows his stuff, his bedside manner is atrocious. He constantly interrupts, argues with you about what you told him, and even made demeaning and sexist remarks to my wife. I've never had to contact a doctor's superiors before, but I did in this case. He was rude, combative, and ultimately very unhelpful.

Dr Wang is clearly intelligent, but kind of combative in his bedside manner. He has given me conflicting information and when I’ve asked questions has gone into unrelated rants about obesity. The rest of my child’s healthcare team is concerned about his size, and despite the obesity rant, Dr Wang made no changes to his recommendations for feeding. Most appointments I leave with the same questions and problems I came in having. He and the nutritionist give conflicting information and he speaks poorly of her. He has made mocking gestures at me and demeaned my child with disabilities by saying there’s no way we can interpret his discomfort and that we should not guess and essentially should just let him be in pain with an implication that the feelings and experiences of “kids like him” don’t matter. I have made more GI progress with my child’s neurologist.

Dr literally screamed at me during appt for voicing my opinion.

Dr. Wang is an excellent Dr with a wonderful staff. I was having trouble understanding my son's diagnosis, and he drew me a picture, was very patient with me, and helped me understand. He is a wonderful and knowledgable Dr.

Dr. Wang is a very kind and involved doctor. He diagnosed and is treating our daughter for Crohn's disease and both he and his staff are excellent.
