I can always get my daughter in when I need to. They listen to the parent and don't push you to anything you wouldn't want for your child.

They make us come in every other month for medicine refills and after speaking to other doctors it's very uncommon to demand this and I also found out the amount they charge for a medication checkup for my sons refill is excessive and they have the option to enter a code that would be $67-72 or $99-125 and they always chose the highest one for a simple weight and height visit and when I asked why it was that price and what that code covered not one person could answer that question other than to say that's the code the doctor gave. Speaking of doctor she was not a doctor but a nurse practitioner and they even try to get away with charging the doctor amount as it should be less simply because it's clearly not a doctor so why is it they assume they can get away with making patients pay the same price. It's something that isn't legal as another past patient/parent informed me before they left this office and moved to another doctor all together. This is greed at it's worse and when you… question your bill as I did they have no answer and treat you very disrespectful. I will say the only one I want my child to see is Kristi a Nurse Practitioner who we love. It's very telling that I'd drive much farther to see Kristi on the Robstown office then ever go back to the Calallen office.

My child has ADHD and this doctor takes full advantage of it. Most offices make your child get blood work every 6 months and at most come for a ADHD checkup every 3 months some only make u get the blood work and checkup every 6 months. However, this doctor makes you come for a checkup every other month at a price of $125 mind u I'm cash pay patient. So in one month I have to pay his office a minimum of$250.00 for them to take his weight and height and ask me if his medication is still working ok. He's been on it for close to 8 years so clearly it's working ok. Also this doesn't include $140 for them to take his blood every 6 months. So as you can see they charge close to double the amount other offices do for a ten minute checkup and they insist it be every other month in order to squeeze every dime out of the parents in order for their child to receive the needed medication. They have no requard for the inconvenience and huge amount of money they cost patients especially cash pay… patients who are already having to pay $300 a month on their child's ADHD vyvanse medication. And if you have insurance and pay when you leave and they mess up and realize something isn't covered as it happened to us they will show u a bill the next appointment of $360 and demand you pay right then or your child will not be seen for the appointment you just showed up for. As if every parent has the $360 plus the $125 for current appointment for a required monthly checkup plus the $300 for the child's medicine your going to buy if your lucky enough to have the $500 they are now demanding immediately. My children have been patients for 14 years and this zero consideration and at times blatant disregard for the child's health as proven by refusing to allow us to keep the appointment we showed up for when they slammed me a $360 bill I had no notice of until that moment and believe me they refused to allow me to pay half then and half later it was expected or your child can leave was a clear sign it's all about the most money they can get and absolutely no concern for the child or his health. So after 14 years I'll take the huge amount of money they make from me and find a new doctor as many of my friends and family him Calallen have already done and continue to do. And the wait time is ridiculous as well many times I've had to wait at least 2 hours so I ask what good is an appointment time? Apparently their time is more important then the paying clients that also have jobs and places to be.

Horrible!! My son and I waited 1 hour for a check up to fill a prescription. That was with an appointment!!! I don't understand that. When I asked where we were at they said I had one before us.

Child was misdiagnosed. And and her severe allergies were minimized.

While in town visiting, my 6mo old became very ill. We made an appointment, and were told Dr. Almouie would see us that day. When we got there, a physician's assistant saw us, diagnosed a double ear infection, and wanted to immediately start my son on the powerful (and last resort) Rocefein antibiotic. I asked to speak directly to the doctor, I was told he WAS NOT EVEN ON THE PREMISES! When I told the PA I was not comfortable with the treatment plan, we were treated like idiots who dared to question a higher authority. When I complained to the staff, we were again treated with contempt for questioning them. Horrible experience when you are in a strange town with a very sick 6mo old and just want reassurance from a person who has actually been to medical school.

Do not go here if you want to use a delayed or modified vaccination schedule. They did not want to work with me on. When I went in for nurse's visit, they manipulated their way into a well-child visit that was not scheduled and I did not have time for. Billing was a nightmare...
