Dr. Muhamad-Emad M Amhan, MD

I have a number of years experience with Dr. Amhan. I give him my highest recommendation. Excellent bedside manner, caring, pragmatic, and good business practices.

My Rheumatologist sent me to Dr. Amhan for horrible back pain. There is only 1 pain I can have since I am allergic to codeine. That drug interacts with some of my meds. My primary care and my rheumatologist thought I needed epidural steroid injections. He said the risks outweight the benefits for me. He said I could bleed and that would be bad or it could cause paralysis. He said of my colleagues do it for the money. He said thats not how I am.I really like his care,concern and really good beside manner.

This man left me suffering and in god awful pain. Only meds at all I received from TMC ER prior to his visit and injection. After his injection pain was worse he immediately referred me to a surgeon. Appt with surgical doctor was just one week away and he would NOTgive me anything at all help me have some comfort until my surgical visit. He just dumped me and I live alone.

Dr Amhan, was my pain management Dr. At first I thought he was so nice, caring, and understood my pain, I had 3, fractures in my back, he did 3 injections, to no avail, he then put me on hydrocodone the lowest strength, my next visit I told him the meds was doing nothing, he up it to the next strength again the next visit I told him they still was not relieving my pain, I have a very high tolerance for pain meds, my body eats up the meds faster than they can work. His response when I told him they weren't working either was and I quote "your just in here for the medication" and told me he will no longer treat me and walked out. Really??? He left me in that room with tears running down my face, I could not believe what he just told me. I got up and left, sat in my car to try and compose myself. Then I got back out went back in and he was at his desk, I told the receptionist I needed to talk with him, she said he was busy, which I could see him at his desk, I told her I would wait, he… told me to come back there, I told him he was the rudest man/dr I have ever encountered, I also told him I didn't appreciate that he was calling me a junkie that just wanted the pills, I told him I am not a junkie wanting pills, I am a human being with 3 fractures in my back wanting relief. He referred me to Dr. Rose which I have since had 3 back surgeries to try and fix the damage to my back, I am now going to a different pain management Dr. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Dr ahman has treated me like a person from day one.

The office staff at this office is the most unprofessional, rudest, arrogant staff I have ever encountered in a doctors office. Absolute worst office imaginable. I wouldn't take my dog to this office.

-Worst experience I've ever had: His office didn't send me a bill until the day before an appt. When I went in, he asked how I was, didn't wait for an answer, then said "this isn't a charity clinic. If you're not going to pay, go somewhere else." He then assigned a medicine similar to one I was already taking, without explaining what it was. I had to call my pharmacy to find out.-He failed to use correct equipment and gave me shots incorrectly-He failed to tell me one shot would be $300 more because "it was closer (<1cm?) to my spine"

This physican has the best bed side manner I have ever seen. Caring and friendly.

the most caring Dr. i have ever been to,i have been seeing him for 8 years off and on,there is no one else like him,professional,likeable,caring,doesnt get any better than that.
