Dr. Kamil Obideen, MD

Dr. Obideen is a remarkable doctor, but his administrative staff is the single worst medical staff in Atlanta. I have waited a little over 2 months to see him, and I received a call from his staff telling me that "he" had a few openings if I wanted to get in a little earlier. I indeed accepted an earlier date. yesterday when I received my reminder, it was with his PA. I called the scheduling office, and they confirmed that the staff member who rescheduled me, was working to fill the PA's calendar, and I would not be seeing him! I asked for the direct office number, and they told me they can't give it to me, but could reschedule me with my doctor for late December! 4.5 months! When I told him this was unacceptable, he suggested I keep the appointment with the PA, but use that time to take my complaints directly to the office manager, since he could not provide me a number or email. An hour and a half drive there to lodge a complaint, and and an hour and a half drive home - with… no doctor appointment whatsoever! This is far from the first time the office ha been a problem, unkind, not helpful, etc., but because now their actions have backed up an important appointment, I may need to switch doctors. Dr. Obideen is a part of a team of doctors that I see due to autoimmune issues, and his part of this team is paramount to my health, and his staff could literally care less!

I cannot say enough about this man. He is caring, kind, knowledgeable and efficient. His nurse Alexandra was also very kind. I have a lot of issues and she was patient with me while I was anxious and the doctor had reviewed all of my records before he even came in the room to see me. I have needed to call his office for a few other questions I had and have gotten a call back the same day and the very next morning. I will recommend him to anyone in need of a stomach doctor. I've been in medical device sales for 20 years, and I've seen hundreds of doctors and thousands of surgeries, and I'd place Dr. Obideen in the top of my list of doctors. I had a positive Cologuard test, and his staff prioritized my first appointment. When I saw him, he walked me out to scheduling and added me to an already packed appointment schedule for the following week. Finally, he found 3 polyps, 2 of which could easily have been missed. Overall, I thought he did an incredible job.

I had a positive Cologuard test, and his staff prioritized my initial appointment with him. When I met with him and let him know that I would be leaving the country for 10 days within a week, he added me to an already full schedule the very next week. On top of that, he found 3 polyps during my endoscopy, two of which were incredibly small.

Very caring and shows great concern. He never rushes.

Since my original Gastroenterologist retired recently, I was referred to Dr. Obideen by my primary care physician. Best change I ever made! He is truly a blessing!!

After three years, we've experienced nothing but the best from Dr. Obideen and his staff, both in the office and hospital/surgery settings.

Went to him for my first colonoscopy. He walked me all the way through what will happen and what the follow would be like. Glad to say everything was okay!

Very nice doctor, understanding, caring, young but knows what he is doing, and very up to date with all the new findings.
