Dr. Muhammad Amjad, MD

Dr.Amjad is a wonderful doctor my kids have been seeing him since they where born and never had any problems or issue with him they absolutely like him highly recommend him

This "Dr" should not be allowed to practice. He is rude. He does not completely answer your questions and talks over you. He does not like it when if a child is really ill or if you ask too many questions. My son was born 3 months early and has asthma issues. I had to request that he be put on breathing treatments after taking my son to the emergency room several times for respritory distress. I had to request oral steroids from him after an emergency room Dr suggested the he would need to be on them. Amjad still did not write the prescription. His Nurse Practitioner did and even then it was incorrect. When we would go to a follow up appointment after a visit to the emergency room Amjad would seem more annoyed then concerned and would just say "he is ok now right?" When my son went for his annual check ups and shots the staff would always act like he did not have an appointment even though they were the ones who set the appointment. When we would arrive for his appointments… they never really checked anything just asked me questions. At the end he would barley communicate with me or my fiancee. The would always send the medical assistant who is the same race as me to answer my questions. Also I had to force them to send his medical records to his new pediatrician. He is a joke and dangerous. I wish I had changed doctors as soon as I was able to obtain other insurance besides medicaid for my son. I will never question my instincts again. Although I am giving him one star I really want to give him zero but this sadly is not an option.

He did a great job and i loved this doctor. will definitely go back to him no matter how long of the drive he is from my house. He is the best in the area.

Thankfully, my children no longer see him. We moved. At the time they were his patients my kids were temporarily on Alabama Medicaid. This was the only doctor in network who was accepting new patients. He is rude. He is arrogant. He has zero bedside manner. It has taken almost 2 years to get their records and shot records sent to their pediatrician in Tennessee...45 minutes away. And my youngest daughters vaccinations were incomplete. I'm giving him 1 star because zero is not an option on this site.

He dropped my children because I ask alot of questions. He is very rude and thinks that I don't know my children. He does not think I child should stay home 24 hours if they have strep or anything else that can be passed to another child. I was in the nursing field in Alaska and I know my kids like the back of my hand. He is not someone I would tell people to take there kids to. He is short and rude and needs to learn that some people will be on top of there children's medical.

Dr. Amjad just likes to write prescriptions. On one occasion my son had white puss filled bumps on his face which looked like a bacterial infection to me. He told me it was definitely eczema and not bacterial. Long story short, it was bacterial because I used an old prescription of antibiotic ointment and it cleared up immediately. I called him and he said "Oh well it did look kinda like impetigo" REALLY?!?! Then why did he prescribe oral steroids instead of antibiotics? On another occasion I wanted my son tested for strep throat since I had it. He didn't even swab his throat. He just said that he looked fine but if I wanted him to have antibiotics then he would write a prescription. I asked him if he could just have a one-time shot of penicillin since that's what I had. He said he would have to give him oral antibiotics afterward anyway. That's just not true. He just didn't want to do it. He and his staff do not wear gloves and the exam sticks that they use to put in your… mouth have pictures drawn on them. It's just not a clean environment and I will not be taking my son back there.
