Dr. Muhammad Anwar, MD

Dr. Anwar is amazing! He saved my daughter’s life when she had a sudden cardiac arrest. She was 29 years young and it was her birthday. They were at Lake Thunderbird and it took the ambulance 45 minutes to get to where they were. 2 nurses and her husband kept cpr going the entire time. When the ambulance came they took her to Norman Regional and Dr. Anwar kept the cpr going and implanted a pacemaker defibrillator. Today she is doing well! I started having the need for a cardiologist and of course I chose Dr. Anwar! He is the absolute best!! Hands down!!

Excellent doctor & staff. Have never waited more than 15 minutes, usually not even that long. Very kind, informative and considerate. I am under his care for A-fib. My heart beat has returned to normal since being under his care. I still see Dr. Anwar and take my prescribed meds to hopefully & prayerfully maintain a good and steady heartbeat. My husband and I respect and love Dr. Anwar!!!

Anwar is pleasant but he runs a clinic that is characterized by a staff that is disrespectful and he makes more appointments that he can handle. 3 times I had to wait an average of an hour after arrival. The staff gets mad if you cancel and leave and then they penalize you a bit next time you go. It is like they believe that patient's time does not count. The right thing to do is to learn from history and make fewer appointments in a given day and BE POLITE ANNOUNCING HOW LATE IS going to be.

Dr, Anwar is obviously skilled in the placement of heart stents and his follow up is superb. His associates also are personable and take a seemingly personal interest in your health needs. I couldn't be more pleased that he is my doctor.

We just moved here from Kansas and were looking for a cardiologist for my dad. We found Heart clinic. We had an appointment with Dr. Anwar. He was very nice and professional. He took his time to explain everything and he was very caring. I would def. recommend Dr. Anwar to anyone who need a cardiologist in Norman area. Thank you

Love Dr. Anwar, but his staff will try to book every appointment with the PA. Do yourself a favor - INSIST on an appointment with Dr. Anwar himself. When I call - I just say - I want an appointment with Anwar NOT his PA. You gotta be an advocate for your OWN HEALTH.

I have been to his office 3 different times now and have yet to actually meet/see Dr. Anwar. I have only seen one of his PAs for each visit which strikes me as very odd. As far as I know, the Dr. has not even consulted on my file which alarms me a little bit. When you are paying the money to see a specialist, it would be nice to speak to the specialist.
