Dr. Muhammad Monem Gillan, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Gillian from late 2023 to early 2026 for chronic pain, initial suspicion of possible rheumatoid arthritis due to family history and eventually Fibromyalgia, and in that time while he did provide and prescribe a medication that has done great good for my body and health, he did not listen to my full sentences when I tried talking about symptoms and suspicions- including an incident in which he interupted me talking about being mostly bedbound for a month and a half to two months due to pain that many people around me believe sounded like a nerve compression to tell me that nerve pain was the worst pain ever and clearly I had just pulled the muscle and proceeded to tell me basic muscle care despite knowing I have hypermobility, which typically results in a higher likelyhood of pulled muscles-, did not talk properly to me about what he viewed my issues as and made assumptions and statements about my health that I simply view as not true. Including diagnosing me… with CFS my first day seeing him despite the absense of P.E.M and not actually speaking of chronic fatigue at the time- and the Fatigue I do have being better explained by the fibromyalgia he later diagnosed me with, which still did not reflect in the removal of the diagnosis. I found him dismissive, rushed and rude, and would not recommend him to anyone who wants their body to be treated as a thing to understand and not a problem to be fixed- Especially if you're young and know enough to push back on his off the cuff diagnoses and assumptions.

The best rheumatologist I've been to! I've moved a lot and Dr. Gillan is the most caring and best rheumatologist!

I trust Dr. Gillan. He takes time to go my chart with me. He is good at reviewing changes in X-Rays, and labs so that I better understand his diagnosis as body goes through age related changes. The problem at his office revolves around timely refills of prescribed medications. Since his specialty involves managing and treating pain, his prescriptions include medications that effects his patient's ability to work. The nurse or nurses that reply back to my pharmacy will be days late refilling my prescription and I'm sure there are other patients that go through this too. Last night my blood pressure was 116/94 and my heart rate was 132 because Tiffany didn't refill my prescription on time. I know it takes time to get things done so their office asks for 2 or 3 days to honor refill requests so, my pharmacy faxed her a refill request three days in a row with no reply back. I called and left messages as did my wife with no call back. Dr. Gillan's office closed on Friday so that means… roughly 72 hours of withdrawals related to my medication orders. The last time I went through this I had a stroke and had to the hospital. I told Tiffany that in my last message on Friday. I can't believe she would intentionally ignore our requests or didn't care about the risks involved in suddenly stopping my treatment without warning, but it feels that way. This is Monday. I can't talk to him without paying for an appointment so I will ask to schedule one. I'm going to call his office and ask my pharmacist to fax a request to refill for my medication again. If they don't follow up, I will need to to Oklahoma City and ask for one in person while I wait. There should be a better way of doing this.

This was my first visit, and he only roughly 10 minutes, if that, to tell me he has no answers. I was sent to go get more blood work and told to come back in a month. Waste of my time since I had to wait over a month to get in.

Don't waste your time or gas going there.

Dr. Gillan is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is kind and considerate and stays on top of my treatment. I would recommend him to anyone.

Been a patient of Dr. Gillian for over 4 years now. As with the other person that left a review, Dr.Gillian had very good bed side manners in the beginning. Now I feel he rushes threw my appointment and doesn't address all my concerns. And yes if you need short or long term disability, he does not support you, with filling out any paperwork. He may tell you that he believes you are disabled, but won't be supportive in your disability claim. And his staff, yea forget it. I once liked him, now seeking to find a new doctor.

My experience with Dr. Gillan and his staff has been excellent. He follows my circuitous route dealing with my autoimmune disease flawlessly. He constantly monitors my levels and has, when needed referred me to specialist to see to my needs. Whenever I have a question between appointments, his assistant Amanda has always relayed the information on to me and has assisted me several times in various ways with the ordering of any medication. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. I highly recommend him to anyone who would like excellent care.

I have been seeing Dr. Gillian for 4 yrs now. He was a good doctor in the beginning. However, now he has lost all bed side manners, and not helpful at all if you need him to help support you in a disability claim, long term or short. He never helps try to resolve any issues your having, health wise. And staff has is far from courteous.

Dr Gillan and his office staff are professional and efficient. He asks questions and explains the test results, diagnosis, and treatment plan in an understandable and professional manner. I am impressed with the overall care received by my client.
