Dr. Muhammad Shabbir, MD

I Antoine Hubbard Sr, has been a patient of Dr. Shabbir for at least 3 yrs or better my opinion of this doctor I rate with 5 stars. I have been dissatisfied with past primary physicians, only god knew my frustration and discomfort from prior experience of treating physcians mis-diagnois that have caused me great pain and suffering. Dr. Shabbir 22 plus years of experience speaks for itself, he is quick to see to it that you receive the proper care and he also takes time out with you to explain test findings, lab results etc; to find a doctor like Dr. Shabbir who does not delay patient care here in the county of Merced is very rare, because his team of staff such as Maria I only know by first name, who recently took time out to handle a problem that I underestimated her ability to resolve. Not to disclose my personal medical problems but if Maria the doctors referral specialist could be rated along with Dr. Shabbir Maria should receive 5 stars as well. Gina who works directly… under Dr. Shabbir and John are quick to make appoints and their team work with Doctor Shabbir is very much appreciated, Irma front desks clerk and the other two (2) office ladies unname clerk are always professional and quick to schedule you with doctor shabbirr and they follow up and if some one cancel their appoint you can trust receiving a phone call offering you the slot. I’ve been going to see dr. Shabbir for a year now and I can honestly say he has never helped me once. He frequently misdiagnoses me and is dismissive of my symptoms. His nurses are unhelpful when I call and he never refills my prescriptions and will say that I have to come in to see him if I want my refills of medications that I have been taking for years even though I had seen him the week prior.

I had a problem with the doctor, as he didnt seem to know about the Family Leave Medical Act, maybe he needs to bone up on Federal Laws the pertain to the medical profession, just a thought because he was clueless

My insurance changed and I had to leave my long time dr. in Madera. By chance, I ended up with Dr. Shabbir. What luck! He is a good clinician as well as a very kind, caring person. I never feel rushed. He is always able to fit us in , and is awsome with teenagers as well. My daughter is difficult and has had alot of both physical and mental issues, and he deals with her directly and compassionately. He knows just what to say to her . My 5 kids and I all really like him very much. He has my little sons' asthma under control as well, which is a first. He will personally call me about lab results, and I appriciate that. I highly reccomend him to anyone that wants a good , trustworthy, family practice dr.

I would tell a friend or a stranger that this doctor has the bedside manner of a board. He talks to you with his back to you . Doesn't introduce himself. Doesn't say your name treated me like he was disgusted with me. Very bad experience. I went elsewhere to be treated

He spent the first visit looking at his computer and asking me the same questions that I had just spent 20 minutes writing down. He hardly made any eye contact and, when I told him about a skin fungus I have, he never wrote it down or addressed it. He spent most of the time lecturing me about how antidepressants aren't good for people, unless they have serious problems such as terminal illnesses. Additionally, he actually made several alarmist statements about medications that I found to be untrue when looking them up, such as that antidepressants are likely to cause serious medical illness. Then he told me that I need blood work and should come back to visit him after the bloodwork. I left without them telling me that I need a lab referral. When I called about it, they said I should pick up a lab referral, but I work during their business hours. They said that they mailed me a lab referral, but when I didn't receive it 2 weeks later I was then told that he wanted to see me again… before giving me the lab referral. I believe that he just wanted to have me come in to make money. I believe that he is an incompetent physician with poor bedside manners, and I do not recommend him.

He is a spectecular doctor and has full knowledge in his feild.
