Dr. Mujib R Obeidy, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr.Obeidy for about 15 + years now and I think that He is one of the Best Doctors out there. He is kind, friendly, and compassionate, and a caring Doctor. I think you will have a hard time finding another Doctor who is as good as He is, so good luck if you’re trying to find a better Doctor, cause Dr.Obeidy is the BEST!

I can not say enough good things about this doctor! I have been seeing Dr Obiedy off and on for over twenty years! He would volunteer his time at the Claymont Community Center back in the day which is when I first met Dr. Obiedy! He is very competent and not afraid to try alternatives to help with your problem! Sometimes the body becomes complacent on one medication so you have to add or change the medication! These are facts when dealing with medication! If you want someone who will help you, Dr. Obiedy is your man!

My son has being seeing this doctor for almost 3 years now. I don't know what others are talking about that he writes whatever you want him to. That is not the case with my son. The doctor takes very thorough notes and listens to the symptoms you are having. He takes his time with you and has a very good bedside manner. Although his wife has a very strong accent, she is very sweet and has spent time talking with me everytime I am upset about my son's illness. They even stopped charging me the $25 copay because I couldn't afford it anymore bringing my son in every 2 weeks. The only downside is he is not on call so if you have an emergency after hours, you have to go elsewhere.

He is a very nice doctor and really cares about his patients

If you want a doctor who does NOTHING but 5-minute med-checks, doesn't talk to you, doesn't make any effort to determine the best course of action for you as an individual, then this is the guy for you. Otherwise, stay away, and do not let your loved ones see this doctor, either. The other reviewers are 100 percent correct. He'll write two or three scripts for whatever you request, no questions asked. "How are you doing? Is the (insert drug name) working for you? Good. What about (insert drug name)? Good." Here's your scripts, see-ya-next-month. Someday he will be responsible for a death and his shingle will be taken away. It will be none too soon.

I love Dr. Obeidy and I'm saddened that he dropped my insurance and I have to find a new doc. I just got my mom to see him, too! He is the fifth psychiatrist that I've seen over a decade and he's the first to properly diagnose my condition. He took a lot of time with me, listened to what I was saying and drew his own conclusions rather than accept a diagnosis from another doctor. I would highly recommend him. And as for his office staff...I have never had anything but a good experience with them. I called into the office one time and my message was given to the doctor and I was promptly called back. They even went out of their way to fit my mother in for an appointment before she was even technically a patient! I will miss this practice!

the other reviewer was right. This guy should not call himself a doctor. He just writes scripts according to whatever the patient says they'd like to have. Want zanax, ok heres a script, want some valium too, sure okay here's a script. feeling depressed? okay, here's an antidepressent, i'll take your word for it that you need it. when people are given the wrong meds because no effort is made to diagnose whats wrong with them, it can destroy their life and the lives of their family. believe me i know.

Absolutely Great has helped me so much I actually pay out of pocket do not want another Dr. on my plan

Dr. Obeidy is very fine at what he does, but his spouse is in charge of the office, and while she seems to be very nice, she has a hard time understanding English, and is very inefficient at relaying messages to the doctor. Several times I have left voice messages requesting callbacks from the doctor, and they were either enormously delayed, or not relayed at all. This week I left an extended voice message for a prescription refill, with instructions to call/fax it in to Caremark. Two days later I received a message on my machine from his spouse requesting the name of the pharmacy to call it in to - after I had clearly stated in my message that it was to be called in to Caremark, not a pharmacy. This woman is very inefficient, and should not be working there if she can't easily comprehend instructions.

Dr. Obeidy has about 15 years of experience in the field and I must say you can tell. He is a family man due to the fact that he runs a family of his own and really connects to people. His sense of humor allows even the more nervice of patients ease their way in with confidence and assurity.I reccomend Dr. Obeidy to anybody who seeds a doctor.
