Dr. Mukeshkumar Devshibhai Delvadiya, MD

I am writing this review to share our family’s experience with Texas Health Frisco and Texas Oncology, specifically Dr. Delvadiya. My mother initially went to the ER at Texas Health Frisco with severe abdominal pain. She underwent multiple imaging tests, including MRI and CT scans, and we were told a biopsy was needed, which was expected to take up to two days. Instead, the biopsy results took more than three weeks. During that time, my mother was in and out of the hospital due to ongoing, significant pain. Despite being seen by numerous doctors and nurses, we received little communication or guidance beyond pain management. We were repeatedly told that no meaningful next steps could be taken until the biopsy results came back. When the results finally arrived, Dr. Delvadiya explained—based largely on imaging that had already been available for weeks—that my mother had advanced, aggressive stage 4 cancer with extensive liver involvement affecting other organs. At that point, we were… told the prognosis was poor, chemotherapy was not recommended, and typical survival might be around six months. Tragically, my mother passed away just six days later. The most difficult part of this experience is knowing that she spent the majority of her final weeks waiting on delayed results, without clear communication or a proactive care plan. By the time she was discharged to hospice, her condition had deteriorated significantly, and she was too weak to spend any meaningful time with family before becoming comatose. Our experience felt disorganized and lacking in urgency and compassion during a critical time. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that improvements can be made in communication, coordination, and timeliness of care for future patients and families.
