Very judgmental towards his patients and extremely unsympathetic.

I stopped getting my periods then gained a huge amount of weight in a short period of time & began having hot flashes. When I tried to explain the timeline he said it had to be the other way & I was not having periods & was feelin warmer because I was obese! After much back & forth & many tests I was near crazy & demanded he run a panel for early menopause though I was under 30. It turns out I had a brain tumor (in my pituitary gland) that tricks your body into thinking you're pregnant so you stop having periods then gain weight & experience menopausal symptoms!!! A hormone that was to be under 12 was over 450!! Had I not pushed for answers he'd still be telling me to lose weight & care about my appearance!!

I went to Dr Shah for the first several weeks of pregnancy. He dismissed my concerns of dehydration, early contractions, and awful morning sickness as if they weren't worth discussing. When my u/s showed my baby was 1.5 weeks behind, he didn't care that this concerned me. He has office visits as rarely as possible, and I had to beg to get meds for my morning sickness (when I was puking 6 times a day). He talks about episiotomies as if they should be a regular occurance, and clearly hasn't read a scholarly article about birthing since he was in medical school 30 years ago. He is uncaring, unattentive, and uneducated. I want my doctor to go out of his way to make sure my baby is okay. He made me feel as if anything I asked was a huge favor. Switching doctors. Can't stand him.

I had the honor of having Dr. Shah deliver my first son and had a great experience. I had moved by the time I had my second son and would have given anything to have Dr. Shah deliver him. The first experience was great from start to finish right through the hospital stay from a csection. The second experience is not as pleasant of a memory. Thank you Dr. Shah and staff.
