Dr. Mukesh Harilal Shah, MD

Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay in Bombay, India. He received his training in General Psychiatry at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia. Dr. Shah is certified as a Forensic Examiner. Prior to joining our staff, Dr. Shah was the Unit Medical Director of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program at Eastern State Hospital and was President of the medical staff at Eastern State Hospital from 1992 to 1994. Dr. Shah has over 20 years of experience in the field of public psychiatry.

Dr. Shah began his employment with the CSB in August of 2001. Dr. Shah has quickly taken a leadership role at Comprehensive Outpatient Services in providing medical supervision for the clinical services, in addition to providing psychiatric evaluations, consultations and psychopharmacological management for adult consumers. Dr. Shah also provides on call psychiatric coverage for Riverside Peninsula Behavioral Health Center in Hampton, Virginia.
