I chose to pursue a career in medicine because of the profound impact of the charity work my family has been deeply involved in for years. Witnessing their unwavering commitment to helping others and the tangible difference they made in the lives of those less fortunate instilled in me a strong sense of compassion and responsibility. This upbringing not only fostered a deep desire within me to contribute to the well-being of others, but also showed me the transformative power of medical care in alleviating suffering and promoting health.
My favorite part about being a surgeon is the first post-operative visit where you take out stitches or staples and the patient tells you how much better they feel. Whether you fixed their hernia or took away their gallbladder, you made their lives better.
I chose to specialize in general surgery because I love finding practical solutions to complex problems. Surgery allows me to take a hands-on approach to diagnosing and treating a wide range of …conditions, letting me make a direct and significant difference in patients' lives. The challenge of assessing a problem, creating an effective surgical plan, and executing it with precision is incredibly fulfilling. Each procedure is a chance to use my problem-solving skills in a way that provides immediate and often life-saving results, perfectly matching my passion for practical, impactful work.
My philosophy of care is “Do right by the patient.” I have immense respect for the trust that patients place in their surgeons. I take that very seriously, always striving to honor that trust by delivering the highest standard of care with compassion and dedication.
