Dr. Mumtaz Rajabali Karimi, MD

I went to Dr. Karimi 4 times with awful nausea. She kept saying it was gastritis and kept prescribing antacids. It felt like she thought I was just a wimp. Finally she ordered stool samples. I decided to do a patient portal and thank God I did. My results came back in a couple days showing 2 major infections. I didn't hear from Dr. Karimi but knew I had an appointment coming up so I figured she would talk to me about these results then. Instead she came in the room and stated all my labs were "normal". Confused I showed her the results of my patient portal. She never explained how she thought my labs were normal though. She then started she was still waiting for the results of one of the labs. She called me a couple hours later saying the missing labs showed up and we're positive for another condition. This was a lie because that result had been there the entire time. One of the conditions can be made worse if treated with an antibiotic and could cause kidney failure and death.... But… she prescribed it anyway. I no longer have any trust in her.

I just wish all Drs would not treat their patients as if they have a drug problem. I would like them To realize there is patients out there that have had numerous numerous surgeries and have been told by several Drs you will always need pain meds to keep you comfortable. Especially when they can’t even do physical therapy to get relief cause specialists don’t want you doing it. I just wish drs would stop Treating patients like they are drug addicts and not just a number!!!! Amen
