You cannot have a better doctor than Dr Merchant. He has calmed me down when I was afraid of procedures. Procedures which took away the pain but , did that add me any extra pain. Painless. He has helped me, when other doctors couldn't /or wouldn't. I appreciate Dr Merchant !

I have back injections arm injections. Everything failed after 2 weeks. I tried to get help with the pain from there on and he appears he does not know what he is doing. He took an MRI that I had done in Oklahoma from another doctor and redid the whole diagnosis. Do not go to this man for one simple reason he is an anesthesiologist he is nothing else. He does not prescribe any pain meds because he discriminates against his patients for he thinks they are nothing but drug addicts.

After a two hour wait he finally comes in and seems hurried and rushed. I've been dealing with this spinal injury for over a decade. I've been through nerve blocks, spinal injections, NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, rehabilitation, and every opiate from Vicodin to Dilaudid. And according to my previous doctor most medications I try have paradoxical side effects. When I find something that works I stick with it. Dr.Merchant offered surgery, spinal injections, rehabilitation, and lidocaine patches. When I attempted to explain my situation and experience he began speaking over me louder and faster simply repeating himself as though he were accustomed to treating small children.I finally asked if he could prescribe pills. He said no we don't do that here and left the room. So I left and I won't be returning. What sort of pain management doctor doesn't prescribe pills?

Saw Dr. Merchant for over a year with no trouble, was always kind to me, even if visits are short due to overwhelming number of patients. BUT. ... he got a new "boss" who decided my pain is all in my head and let me go. His only concern Now is pleasing the new head guy.....
