Don’t judge a book by its cover ! His office appearance has nothing to do with his medical treatment of patients. Believe me I have been to modern offices with magazines and keurig coffee machines and the Doctor would stair at the floor while talking to me if I ever saw him. Usually had his assistants treat me. Kept sending me for X-rays and blood tests that had already been done. I had agonizing pain and couldn’t walk and was told to come back next week!! Dr Shankar listens to everything you have to say and answers all questions thoroughly!! Would not go see anybody else. I moved to North Broward and still make the drive to his Plantation office and will continue to do so. I first saw him in Broward General. Had several surgeries there 20 years ago. Was in pain a few years ago in his office and he immediately called Westside Hospital and had me admitted for emergency surgery. His knowledge in his field is immeasurable and far more important than an updated office!!

Saw Dr. Shankar for a Colonoscopy Screening. First visit went okay. Office needs updating badly. Doctor was nice. Set the appointment for the procedure. Showed up at the hospital after doing the horrible prep to the sign in nurse telling me he cancelled. What? They said they called me, but couldn't leave a message. What? You have my home number (machine works), my cell (you could text me also) and my work number. As of today it's been 3 weeks since that day and I have YET to get an apology or a phone call. No one has checked back with me. Found out he was hospitalized the day before my procedure. Nothing against him, but the staff never called me or reached out to me prior or after.

I have been Dr Murali Shankar's patient for many years . He is really smart and can diagnose complicated cases. Once when I was sitting in the waiting room this patient with cyclical vomitting syndrome or some such thing told me that Dr Shankar is one of the few experts on this condition and gasteroenterologists from Universities actually refer complicated cases to him . He is extremely caring , always returns his calls and shows up when you need him the most . God bless him is all I can say.

I have seen Dr Shankar at the Outpatient Clinic Broward Health for the last 10 years. Dr Shanka is honest, straight to the point when diagnosing a condition.

The staff is very kind and caring . Dr. Shankar is the the best at what he do. I highly recommend him.
