Dr Murphy Townsend III

The reason you have to wait so long for an appointment is because he is a fine doctor. I have been going to him for 6 years. He is personable and will call you if you need to discuss something with you... A top doctor and a real nice guy

I started seeing Dr. Townsend in Feb 2019 and I have never had the pleasure of working with a more kind, considerate and knowledgeable doctor. I have never seen him that he didn't have a big smile. I would recommend Dr. Townsend very highly to anyone that I know who is in need of a urologist.

Had urological problems for years. Dr. Townsend has been more thorough than any previous doctors. Highly recommended.

Excellent urologist. When I was told by other urologist that the problems from radiation done 10 years ago was not fixable. I was told that I would have to self catheter and encounter bleeding for the rest of my life. I went to Murphy Townsend III. He looked at my history and offered me 3 solutions. I selected the one I thought best suited me. The surgery was successful and I haven't had to use self catheter since. He has also treated me for numerous kidney stones and has greatly reduced the occurrence of kidney stones.

He was very informative and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed. He recommended a procedure, which was done. This discovered issues that needed to be aggressed. Would highly recommend him!

He is an excellent physician. I've seen many doctors in my life and he ranks at the top. If he would treat all of my non urological medical issues I would not hesitate to let him.

He is the worst doctor I have ever seen, or had contact with. Beware, females, especially. Had small kidney stone & he told me 1-1/2 hour outpatient surgery, which turned into 7+ hours. After anesthesia wore off, most God awful pain, bleeding, which CONTINUED for months/years now. Didn't get kidney stone, didn't care at all about my welfare and ruined my kidney. Very hateful after the fact, & I could've had it broken up but he went up my urethra, horrible pains to this day. He acts all professional until afterwards. I wouldn't take a sick rat to him, never refer him to a friend and still hurt tremendously because of this awful procedure he did, all the pain continually reminds me of how I was treated by him. He may have more experience with men, but, I doubt that, too. He may know how to do some things right, but it wasn't with me. He was contemptuous, and totally unprofessional in every way. Wish never set foot into even meeting him. A totally horrible experience for life. If… there were a "0" for a rating, I'd choose that, but there isn't. I've heard very good things about other Drs. in this group, just not him.

What a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I can not say enough good things about him. I always recommend him to others.

From the time I discussed my bladder problem with Dr Townsend until I was discharged after surgery I was completely satisfied with everyone especially Dr. Townsend. A very good experience, under the circumstances.
