Dr. Murray Engel

Dr. Engel is always late for our appointments and for early morning seems like he has not slept. He does nothing for our child except to say come see me in 6 months and keep doing therapy. He suggested an MRI, but could not explain what the possible scenarios may be if we did one. I don't know anyone who would subject their child to anesthesia for an MRI without an explanation as to why the MRI could be beneficial. I believe this doctor should retire. We switched doctors after 4 appointments of the same unproductive discussions.

We were seen with my son for over an hour with the office nurse practitioner as he was an uncomplicated case of ADD and we brought our neuropsychologist report with diagnosis as the intake person suggested. The nurse suggested a stimulant medication then brought Dr Engel in to state that my sons father was not ready to medicate my son, even rudely speaking over the onjectives of my sons father. He plainly stated that the nurse misunderstood him and he was ready. We even offered to come back into the office to get the doctor comfortable but The doctor refused to see us! He visited with us for less than 3 minutes. All the while collecting our office visit payment while telling us to seek care elsewhere. The nurse as follow up said the intake should have never made the appointment in the first place. Their remedy was to do nothing and let us waste our money and time. My son was refused care by an office that obviously cares little for the children they serve.
