Mursal Sekandari, MD

I was basically ousted from my other doctor because she no longer took insurance. After reading many backgrounds of St. Luke's doctors, I chose Dr. Sekandari. I'm so glad I did and also referred my mom to see her. She is awesome, caring, thorough and leaves nothing to chance. She also has a great bedside manner. She showed much empathy and compassion to our needs and concerns. We couldn't be happier. Plus a great bonus is the staff at St. Lukes are second to none. Everyone is caring, friendly and smiles when greeted. I feel very comfortable at St. Lukes.

It is evident this doctor is inexperienced, does not care about her patients, and is focused on patients returning for an evaluation - this translates to being in it for the money. I went in with excruciating back pain, unable to sit and barely able to walk. Doctor addressed my concern by prescribing a steroid and muscle relaxer, which did help the pain. However, when requesting a note to be able to work from home the doctor required a reevaluation rather than allowing me time to heal, I am expected to return to see her again so she would give me a note to allow me to work from home. She wants me to return to work not even a week after being seen by her, I explained I work very far away and the drive would be unbearable for my back and my workplace is flexible enough to allow us to work from home with a doctor’s note. I was only asking for an extra week to recover. She is clearly only in it for the money, it’s disgusting and unacceptable. My advice to anyone reading this, STAY AWAY… FROM THIS ONE!! Dr Palmer is way better.
