Dr. Mustafa Alnounou, MD

Dr Alnounou should not have a license. He is the most unprofessional Dr I have ever encountered. The bedside manger is horrible and he was late showing up. The nurses have no idea what they are doing and almost forgot to give me something after my procedure because they made me starve and made me dehydrated. This place is a joke and needs to be shut down.

Dr. Alnounou needs to be sued for malpractice. I would NOT recommend this doctor AT ALL. He is RUDE, I’ve witnessed him making his patients cry. The average wait time for an appointment is TWO HOURS OR MORE. He NEVER runs on time for hospital procedures either and he leaves so many questions unanswered. It’s terrifying. DO NOT depend on him to send prescriptions or lab orders in a timely manner. you will wait 3-5 business days. DO NOT expect quick test results. Patients will wait 4-6 WEEKS, no matter how severe their issues are. You have to call and bother his staff several times in order to get him to do his job. I feel really bad for his staff. It seems like he never keeps an employee around for more than a few months. I’ve seen him yell at his staff and intimidate and embarrass them in front of each other and in front of patients. He is extremely unprofessional with his staff AND his patients. DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR WITH YOUR HEALTHCARE!

I’m surprised by the comments given about Dr. Alnounou. First of all, he is not located in Burton so perhaps he is being mistaken for another Gastroenterologist in that area? Dr. Alnounou is a kind, caring physician who takes as much time with each patient as needed and is very knowledgeable in his field. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff!!

Accompanied my girlfriend to her endoscopy appointment, where we waited 3 hours - after arriving an hour and ten minutes before the scheduled procedure as instructed. The doctor, according to multiple staff, has a habit of strolling in as late as he pleases. Supposed to have been called for a follow up scheduled 2-3 weeks later. We call two weeks after the endoscopy and biopsy, having waited to hear anything about results. Receptionist on the phone looks at the file and tells us his write up is half completed. She suggests that maybe he got distracted and left it. The next available appointment is 1 month away. Get your digestive work done somewhere else. This man doesn't care about you.

Stay far away from this doctor. When you walk thru his door plan to wait for hours. If your a new patient your a $10,000 patient.. No quality of patient care, he has no clue what he is doing, he does not listen to your concerns and is only fixed on what he thinks.. He is a liar and does not care about his patients just the o mighty $$.. I was sick for 2 months and ended up in the hospital from him and his unprofessional staff. The girls in his office are rude, unprofessional...If you value your colon find another doctor ASAP....
