Dr. Muzaffar Khan Awan, MD

Dr. Awan was my doctor for a few years and I got to see him slowly fall apart in the last few years. After a breakdown in which he missed at least 6 months he was never the same again. I think it is time for Dr. Awan to retire since he is over 75 years of age and appears to be tired of his job. The doc has been cutting patients loose since 2016 when he became scared to prescribe pain medications for fear of going to jail. WTH? He wanted all of his pain patients to get something called brain mapping with stem cell replacement and MRIs which are not covered by most insurance plans. Instead of fighting for his patients he just kept letting more and more of them go. Abandoning people suffering from agonizing, unbearable pain and leaving them without hope is very wrong. Dr. Awan cut back on his hours, staff, and patience for his clients. He looks like he is ready to retire or have another breakdown since his compassion and love of the job are now gone.

Dr Awan spent a good deal of time with me and answered all my questions. He is very caring.
