Myra G. Horiuchi, MD

I went through 3 primary care providers before finding Dr. Horiuchi. She is the best I've ever had! She more than delivers on the most important factors - she's thorough, super responsive, explains things in a way I can understand, and really listens to my concerns. On top of that, she also has an amazing bedside manner. She's kind, approachable, and so caring. I can't think of anything that needs improving.

I have been going to Dr. Horiuchi for at least 15 years. Before I had kids, she helped me diagnose and treat an autoimmune disorder. She showed up to deliver both of my babies.....on her off time. And has cared for me and my entire family in a way that makes her feel like an extension of our family. I have never felt better cared for. We feel the safest in Dr. Horiuchi’s hands.

Wait time is long, but you will be glad to have her as your GP. She is VERY thorough and has extremely good knowledge of how meds interact and which can benefit better, while reducing side effects. She is friendly, detailed, and most importantly, LISTENS to your concerns. First GP EVER to listen to my worries and rule out any serious illness which other GP's have disregarded. Highly recommend her.

I was referred to her from a friend when I moved to the area. I love the doctor I already had and didn't think much of getting to know someone new. Both her and her assistant made me feel so comfortable and like I had known them forever. I couldn't be happier!!

Dr Horiuchi was great during my pregnancy so we decided to use her as our pediatrician, which we now regret. It felt like she didn't listen to me, and dismissed me as an overly concerned new mom when I voiced concerns with infant reflux. I changed peds (Richmond Pediatrics - they're great!) and wouldn't you know it, I was spot on with my concerns. They sent me to Children's Hospital to get a sleep wedge and gave me some great advice to control it during the day, my daugher is sleeping and feeling much better. Trust your instincts! I would recommend her as an OB, just not a ped. Also, her MA is obnoxious.
