Dr. Myron Beer, MD

My son is a patient at Forest Hills Pediatrics and I have been pleased with the medical care received by all the physicians. My son's primary is Dr. Kim; however he was unavailable so today we saw Dr. Beer for the first time. As some of the other posters shared yes he has what I'd like to call a radiant personality; however, it was very welcome. Some children are traumatized by doctors, medical procedures and so I feel such bedside manner is a plus. To this day being the recipient of rather brutal medical care in the past as a child, I turn colors and get near faint at the site of a needle and my blood pressure raises whenever I step into a medical facility. It's important children feel comfortable when in a doctor's care...I was impressed. More importantly, while we were not there for an actual 'diagnosis' per se, I was pleased that I was not made to feel I had to push in order to have my concerns validated, we both seemed to be on the same page with my having legitimate… concerns and so obtaining the proper paperwork to begin the process of ruling in/out a rather complicated illness was such a relief. I am sure many mothers and fathers out there know what it feels like to have intuition regarding your child's health then end up being dismissed or ignored only to find out you were right. This was my first visit, he had my son's records, he looked them over and validated my concerns. Frankly I could not ask for more competent, compassionate and skilled care in a pediatrician and that is my feeling with all the doctors I've dealt with at Forest Hills Pediatrics. I recommend Dr. Beer and any/all doctors there highly it's a quality pediatric care establishment.

Dr Beer is a humorous guy and is practical. We were particularly impressed when he correctly diagnosed our son with Coxackie after 4 doctors, including 1 in his office and 3 in the ER at LIJ had failed to identify the cause of his issues.It can be a hassle to get in to see him, but he's the best.

I'm glad I didn't rely on the online reviews about Dr. Beer. He is a true seasoned professional and I feel my son is in great hands with him and his practice.

We took our daughter to his practice from her first week of life until she was 18. She loved Dr. Beer, he was gentle, kind and caring and always diagnosed everything correctly. Dr. Beer is really a great doctor, we loved him too. He also has a great sense of humor.
