Dr. Myron Gyton Davidson, MD

I have been with Dr Davidson for years now and he has saved my life on three different occasions. I make sure to keep my appointments and look out for myself with his help. He's always open to listening to my health issues and doesn't hesitate to suggest a specialist if necessary. I have nothing but love and respect for him and his staff!!!!

I have been seeking treatment for my tailbone issue which is annoying and gross enough to not go into detail on, however I have been met with nothing but a lack of empathy and even innappropriate use of humor. "That's a real pain in the bum, literally chuckle chuckle." When I was in enough pain that I had not slept in three days, began seeing things, and cried the whole day at work I finally went to Dr. Myron. He took me for face value, he treated me like an adult (im 30) and informed me that my pain is valid and nothing to be ashamed of. He treated me with such respect and maturity that I once again as I got in my car began to cry again. I doooo notttt write reviews. Its just something I don't do. He deserved a shout out. Taking it a step further I'm gonna go to like five other sites to copy and paste because of his treatment.

Dr. Davidson is great, but his staff is a disgrace. I've read others reviews that say the same thing. They definitely have a 'don't answer the phone' philosophy in that office & if you leave a message, they don't bother to call you back. I have been trying to get them to take care of a per-authorization for one of my scripts for a week. It's a simple task. I finally went to their office this morning to make sure it was taken care of. I was there for over an hour, part of the time on a call with my insurance company who said that Davidson's staff had never initiated a request for a per-authorization. I gave the member of the staff responsible for PA's a direct number from my insurance company & she refused to call. She said she was too busy helping other clients, told me she would do it in the afternoon & get back to me. The afternoon has passed & their office is now closed. I have no other choice except for to change my PCP to one where I can get my prescription filled.

The doctor mostly chats instead of really checking you out. He did not do a prostate or hernia exam on a routine physical. Just seems lazy to me.

After using the online application process for Rowan Tree Medical where Dr. Davidson practices, I received the following response: "Hello ..., thanks for your interest in becoming a patient here at Rowan Tree Medical. We generally encourage our patients who reach that wonderfully magical age of 70 to transfer their care to a geriatric specialist. I am trying hard to make that NOT sound like a slap in the faceâ?¦.. and I hate to turn away businessâ?¦. but the doctor feels you would be better served, even though you may be in perfect health at this point. Certainly let me know if I can be of further assistance."

I really like Dr. Davidson, but the office staff at the office are arrogant and do not care about the well-being of the patient. Try getting a prescription written, just try. The absolute worst worker in the office is the first face you see: Ben. He is beyond arrogant. He acts like he is the gatekeeper for your care, which in fact he is. Plus, they charge a $10 "convenience fee" to have your blood drawn in the office. The nurse there isn't much better. And don't get me started on Danny. Try to get a referral for a specialist out of him. May as well die before that happens. On the plus side, Dr. Davidson himself is a really great doctor, very nice, and very caring... when you get to talk to him. However, because of his office staff, I am returning to my former primary care doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Davidson since he came to the Federal Highway group he was in. When there was a transition there he opened a new office in Wilton Manors. He has always been there for me. At times when I needed it most he spent close to an hour on several occasions because I was going through some really bad times. Doctors don't make house calls anymore and the office staff is overloaded as I would assume most good doctors offices are. He is always there to shake your hand and say hello when he comes through the door. Of course everything has not gone the way I needed it to go or wanted it to go, but these days that is to be expected, with all the new laws and regulations. He is very smart and knowledgeable about many different issues. He has as I said seen me through a lot which also includes almost dying 3 times. I feel great gratitude that Dr. Davidson is my doctor. I am not sure I would be here today if it weren't for him.

Myron is wonderful however other than his receptionist, the nurses and office staff are truly inefficient in follow through. Don't use their web site, they don't both with follow through. When Rowan Tree first opened it was awesome. Dozens of patients have left that I see at my new doctors office for the same issues. A shame he does not check on why people are leaving him.

Okay, Dr. Davidson is excellent. He's kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and very helpful. he has a great bedside manner. The office is another thing altogether. They never call you back. NEVER. You leave voicemails and you might as well have left them for the dead. I had to drive to the office to get a response - after a week of waiting. They acted annoyed that I did that. Too bad: I was in distress. And you never respond. Refills? Forget it. They tell you to order refills online on their office website. Waste your time because it accomplishes nothing. You'll never get the refills. They need to start taking care of their patients.

No problems the first few years. It has been easy to make an appointment and waiting time is usually minimal. Most of the staff is very nice and pleasant. The last few years I feel like just a number. Had a few issues going on for a while now and the doctor seems like he does not really care, while the issues keep escalating.
