Dr. Myron L. Gottfried has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. Board certified, he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1976.
A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, Dr. Gottfried then attended University of California Riverside and California State University San Bernardino. Upon completion of his requirements he was accepted at LLU School of Dentistry and graduated in 1976. He served on student government including a 1-year term as President of the Dental Student Association. Dr. Gottfried began practice in Asheville in January of 1977. He has been at his current office location since renovating the old Rogers House at 1415 Patton Avenue in 1980. Dr. Gottfried and his wife, Beverly, a Dental Hygiene LLU 1969 graduate, lived at this location until 1996. They have two daughters, Heather, an emergency room physician and …Haley, a dentist. Dr. Gottfried has many interests that occupy his time away from the office. He and Beverly own and operate THE FARM, an event facility located at their home on Justice Ridge Road in Candler. He also owns and enjoys several horses, a great woodworking and automotive shop, and a vintage 1955 Corvette. Dr. Gottfried actively served as an associate professor of Restorative dentistry at LLU for 6 years, and a term as the president of the National Association of SDA Dentists.
