Dr. Myrtha Elsie Basile, MD

Extremely condescending, and rude Doctor. I have no doubt that she is intelligent, and hardworking. But Dr. Basile is exceptionally rude. She interupts questions, sneers at other doctors advice, and has an overall attitude of superiority. I felt so stupid by the end of my appointment that I just shut down. I stopped asking questions I would have really liked answered. I would not recommend this doctor to anybody who is going through with an appointment because they are scared, wanting information, or expecting to be treated with common courtesy. She will sit in front of you droning on and on about things you couldn't possibly understand. Not because you are stupid, but because you are not a doctor. She treated me like every question I asked had an obvious answer that I should have known- by the end of the appointment she actually began cutting my questions off. She will not answer your questions. In fact, she will not even allow you to get a question out of your mouth before holding up… her finger (blatantly interrupting you), and continuing on as if she is teaching a class at a medical school. Very frustrating. Long story short, she believes she is the only smart Doctor in town (perhaps the world), and if you question her you must be very stupid.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. She refuses to answer to questions on a CT scan. I went with my mom to her apt today to go over the CT and I asked questions and her response is since I was not there for the first visit she was not going to answer any questions.
