Dr. Myungsun James Moon, MD

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2004. Before that, I was an assistant professor and director of the Endovascular Program, Division of Vascular Surgery, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. I came to Kaiser Permanente primarily because of its excellent health care delivery system and its impressive record of providing quality care.
Biography
I am originally from Connecticut but was educated on both the East and West Coasts. Although I am the first physician in my family, the decision to become one was simple. I find great satisfaction in vascular surgery, primarily due to the dramatic and immediate impact it has on improving the quality of life for my patients. In addition, I enjoy the excitement of keeping up with rapidly changing technology, which allows me to treat major vascular problems with less invasive procedures. About my practice
The practices of medicine and surgery are always undergoing continual change and refinement. Our challenge for the 21st century is to …keep refining ourselves as physicians and Kaiser Permanente as a health care organization. This is essential if we are going to continue to keep up with the changes in medicine and offer our members the best care we can.
My clinical interests span all aspects of vascular disease, with special focus on dialysis access, limb salvage, open and endovascular (stent-graft) repair of aneurysms, and carotid artery endarterectomy. How I thrive
I enjoy traveling, the more adventuresome the better, and keep busy with hiking, kayaking, and skiing; but most of my time is occupied by Lola, my Great Dane, and Paku, my Vizsla.
