Dr. N Daniel Ranjbar, DDS

For over a decade Lawrence, Kansas has been home to Dr. Ranjbar and his orthodontic practice. Since 1994 Dr. Ranjbar has utilized a treatment philosophy based on two simple principles. First, to employ the most up to date technology in providing an outstanding functional result while creating an exceptionally natural smile. In order to create an environment that is both comfortable as well as aesthetically pleasing, Dr. Ranjbar incorporated his love of nature into the office design. This design combines a multitude of natural elements with an open, unobstructed view of the McGrew Nature Preserve. After living in various countries during his childhood, such as Africa, Iran, and India, Dr. Ranjbar moved to Stow, Ohio with his parents and four siblings where he attended high school. He attended and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas and subsequently was accepted into the Dentistry program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During the four years of dental training, he not only took an interest in orthodontics but also excelled in both prosthodontics and periodontal dentistry. Dr. Ranjbar was awarded the Quintessence Scholarship in Prosthodontics as well as the John C. and Rupberta Weaver Award for Excellence in Periodontics and Prosthodontics. This aptitude provides him with the unique ability to approach orthodontic treatment in a way that encompasses consideration of the future restorative and periodontal needs of the patient. In addition to earning memberships in various scholastic honor societies such as Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Phi Kappa Phi, Dr. Ranjbar was recently awarded the prestigious Reinhart Medallion for philanthropy.
Dr. Ranjbar graduated with distinction from dental school in the top 5% of his class and was accepted into the three year orthodontic specialty program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In 1993, he completed the program with a 4.0 GPA and then opened his orthodontic practice in Lawrence in January 1994. Aside from being a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, he also is a member of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce since 1994. His leadership roles have included serving as president of the Douglas County Dental Society, president for the first district Kansas Dental Association, and acting chairman of the Kansas Dental Health Committee.
Dr. Ranjbar enjoys spending his spare time with his daughter and Sunny "the Office Dog" and describes himself as fortunate to have the ability to serve his community in ways that provide a reciprocal benefit. "Our office is able, through the support of our referring doctors, to select and provide care to individuals in extreme need of orthodontic treatment, preferably in their formative years, who would otherwise suffer through dental-related social problems for the rest of their lives…what greater gift can a profession offer?"
