Dr. Nabhan Alnabhan, MD

Dr, Alnabhan has been the cardiologist for both my husband and myself for quite a number of years. He is very thorough and professional. He is also warm and friendly, and does not make us feel rushed during our visits. I highly recommend Dr.Alnabhan to anyone requiring an excellent cardiologist.

Great doctor and really listens while you are explaining what is going on with you.

I was admitted to Midwest Regional Hospital ER with what I thought was Acid Reflux. The EKG and enzyme tests showed it was my heart. I had had a massive heart attack. Dr. Alnabhan was called in to do a heart cath. He introduced himself and made me feel right at ease. Once the procedure started, he kept me in the loop, explaining what he was doing. The damage was much worse than I thought. The left side of my heart was completely useless. He opened the right side with first a wire, then the balloon. Upon assessing the condition of what was left of my heart, he decided to put in a balloon assist pump through the cath. This would help my heart pump.Once the procedure was over, he explained (again) what he had done, and why. He then looked me right in the eye, and said I had less than an 80% chance of making through the night.Here is the best part: No ego, no big head, no G-d complex. He said this is the most he can do for me. He needs to send me to another facility where… they were better equipped to help me. WOWHe saved my life with the cath, the balloon, and balloon assist pump. He saved my life again by sending me to another hospital (Integris Baptist Heart Hospital) where they continued the care that he started.I am now using an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) - basically a pump that works around what's left of my heart. I am out of the hospital recuperating, and on the transplant list for a new heart. But I may choose just to continue on the LVAD.Thank you, Dr. Alnabhan for saving my life, and for having the clear head to know when to pass me on to others who were better equipped to help my situation.
