Dr. Nabil Abdel-Azi Fahmy, MD

Dr Fahmy is very kind & professional. Through Mercy Medical Center I had worked with him. I have been a patient of his for many years. He has performed numerous EGD (upper endoscopy) & colonoscopies for my health issues. Dr Fahmy helped my daughter (while in college in Columbus) in an emergent situation. I have referred many family & friends to Dr Fahmy’s services. He really is the best in our area. Yes, the wait time to get a procedure may be longer than you want. You can call the office often to see if there are any cancellations in order to move up your appointment. Both of his Certified Nurse Practitioners are EXTREMELY knowledgeable about gastroenterology & easy to work with you. All staff upstairs & downstairs are professional & helpful. I certainly dread the day Dr Fahmy retires.

I have been going to Dr. Fahmy for over 18 years. He's the BEST. I tell people he is my miracle worker. He has literally saved my life. Other doctors had me on heart medicine when nothing could be found causing my chest pain. He did a few tests and put me on totally different medication and I was completely pain free in 4 days. That is not the only time he found things other doctors could not figure out. Over the years I have gotten all my colonoscopy’s and EGD’s in the surgery center down stairs and it runs like a well oiled machine. The office and surgical staff are always so kind and proficient. Oh and it is extremely clean. I went there today for a EGD and I told my daughter that you always see the same staff so there isn't a big turnover with the staff which means they are treated well. I'm not sure what I will do when he retires.

I tried for 5 months to get an appointment with Dr. Fahmy for my mother who gas suffered with gastric problems for over a year. The office said they could not see her without a referral from family doctor. There were 3 referrals sent and each time they said they never received it? No one would work with me or help figure out why . I was a patient there myself and no one in the office cared to help us. We both have now found a gastroenterologist that was able to see my mom in two weeks.

He may be a great dr . If you need stomach pills, or a test taken . But don't expect help on Friday Saturday or Sunday . They tell you to go to the hospital . But they won't come in and see you until Monday ! How does a dr close his office on a Friday . And if you need to see him , he will give you a nurse practitioner . Was ther 3 times and still haven't seen the dr. He's to busy . Even after a stay in the hospital he still didn't see me . I guess he is too busy . Tried to change dr in mid stream but was to sick and no one would take me because said he was listed as my dr. Even in the hospital he sent another dr. So you know he is way to busy , and he will take money for visit but don't expect to see him face to face, and if you call for help don't expect a call back . I wish I could rate lower than a one star . Please do yourself a favor and find someone else......

in the hospital while he was on vacation , in there 5 days no call or call back from his attending dr . Got out started giving worse after 5 days tried to call 5 times on sat. No call back had to go to hospital again . Called Monday twice secretary said he always calls back . Still no call . Have to make appointment with new dr. Took several test and he don't have time to look at them . Or call back . Just busy

He never returns your call , he has answering service he don't need . It just sounds good when he has them , he never return calls and don't expect test results . Called him said they don't have them called the lab said the results was sent to him and will fax them to him again. Called in still don't have . Can call and get them for yourself faster . Just a dr if convienient . Don't even think he will call back if it is a weekend or he is out of town . The dr he leaves in charge is just like him . He is way out of caring for his patients . And don't bother him unless you make appointment and is paying for his time . He must not be able to be reached through answering service . I would love that job all you have to say is I will page him . But I don't think he even has a cell . Again if you don't need a lot of help maybe he would be a dr for you " he should change his name to dr convienient .

I've had three bad experiences with doctor with dr. Fahmy

Dr. Fahmy always spends time answering my questions. I have been going to him for 12 years and would recommend him to anyone who needs a gastroenterologist.

Seeing them for barrets. Been very good to me. Got me in earlier due to some problems and I do love that I get time to ask questions and have them answered. Very important to me. Thank you all so much

Excellent (6 star)! Explains question(s) at patient's level well. Considered leading gastroenterologist in Canton Ohio, on top Docs, and teaches at local medical school.
