Dr. Nabil H Gerges

This is by far the worst dentist I've ever been to! I called them because I needed a tooth extraction. So, I fill out the paperwork (in the very uncomfortable waiting room that was way too hot), and then they started doing x-rays. Their x-ray machine is extremely invasive, low tech, and painful. The reason it was so painful was because they kept making me bite down with the teeth that were hurting. After the 5th or 6th x-ray, I asked them why they needed pictures of all my teeth since I was only getting one extracted. They couldn't give me a straight answer (my guess is because they get more money for taking more x-rays, so they'll take them needlessly even if it means putting their patient in intense pain). So after all that, they informed me that they don't even do tooth extractions! Which is completely ridiculous because when I called to make the appointment I clearly stated that I was making said appointment specifically for a tooth extraction. I even told them when I got there… when they asked me my reason for visiting. Clearly they only made the appointment to suck money out of my insurance by taking x-rays they knew they wouldn't need. So after all that, they sent me off with a referral, weak antibiotics, and over the counter painkillers. Once I got to my car and looked at the prescription I realized I was going to need better antibiotics and stronger pain killers, so I walked back to the office and the doors were locked even though it was only 3:30 and their office closes at 4. As I sat in my car practically in tears because of the pain in my tooth, I called the office and got their answering service. The lady on the phone seemed equally as confused as I was about the door being locked. After I hung up the phone I saw a nurse taking out the trash and I asked her, and she said the doctor had left for the day, even though it was only 3:30. So now I'm stuck in more pain than I was before, with over the counter painkillers. Hopefully the antibiotics they gave me will do something to sooth the massive amounts of pain I'm feeling.

He is best dents in Newark and he's nice person

If he is not on his cell phone he is laughing with his staff instead of reading the ex rays

Dr Gerges is great. The rest of the workers are rude and condescending

The Dentist was talking to his friends while trying to clean my teeth in his hot office. He was not personable nor caring. He said that my teeth looked fine, but I didnt' think so and had a second Dentist look at my teeth. Thankfully I did because there was a problem he did not catch. I think he was just too busy talking to his friends.
