Dr. Nadeem Ansari, MD, FACP

Very unprofessional behavior on the part of Dr. Ansari and his office. He seems to never be there and has a nurse practitioner who is not fully trained for even basic things. Both do not even review previous care provider information in the slightest. This office has the most unprofessional people who even answer the phone and not even capable of taking the slightest message, about anything. Rude nurses wandering around the office, looking bored. I went for my medicare wellness visit and he told me that I have too many specialists with Amita so I need to find an Amita doctor instead of Riverside. He asked me how I was and when I told him at this visit, he ignored me completely.

At initial apt. he did not review/acknowledge any of my previous medical history which was from northern suburbs. He didn’t ask questions and I had left that day without him knowing certain things even though I attempted to bring up basic things. Such as osteoporosis treatment that I was on elsewhere, he never asked about even though I have had osteoporosis. I then had to message him after the apt and he put the order for the 6 month injection of prolia which was due at the time just one year ago. He said to come back in 2 months in which the office put me with NP Rick as they said Dr. Ansari is never there. I saw Rick at the next visit, next at 2 separate minor surgery clearances and then after a 2 day hospital stay for AKI/UTI. I’m told that I’m to see Dr. Ansari for a medicare wellness visit that ive never had elsewhere. I go and complete it at length with the nurse. He comes in acting odd saying that I see Amita specialists and he doesn’t want to provide care. No notice or med… refills. The day of the apt. he had me come in for knowing that he was not going to continue care, I had tried to let him know that I feel nauseous and the next day then I find out that I have a bad UTI. I’m entirely out of one medication that was being prescribed by his office and the pharmacy this same day said refill was being denied due to dismissal. 30 days are to be allowed to allow someone legally time to find a new physician. He also provided no prior notice of any issue. He was behaving so crazy at my recent apt in saying I need to find a doctor with Amita instead that I have no way of knowing if I’m allowed to see my Riverside specialist which I have a follow up apt to. His behavior of no notice and 30 days allowed etc is against Medicare, State of IL. and even his own hospital Riversides guidelines.

I have been seeing Dr. Ansari for about 15 yrs. He has also been family dr for mom,my children ,my brother . He has a great bedside manner. He's straight up with you about your health. If you need to see a specialist he will send to there. He has been a life saver for me many time. Not only medically but emotionally. He is very smart and I trust him very much. He always gets you in if your sick. When my mom passed away he even came to her funeral. Very compassionate. Always smiling and in great mood regardless of anything going on in his personal life. There aren't many like him around.

I have been seeing Dr. Ansari for over 15 yrs. & I can not say enough about how wonderful he & his staff are. He never rushes you when you are in there to see him, he's caring, knowledgable, personable, & kind. I have known the doctor to attend funerals of his patients which I have never seen before. When he losses a patient you know it bothers him. I know him well enough to pick up on the fact that he was saddened that he could not help further. I have recommended him to manypeople & they always thank me for it because they were impressed with him also.We need more doctors like him & you can not find a better more caring staff of ladies who work with him, not for him.
