Dr. Nadezda Sanders, MD

I used to be very satisfied with Dr. Sanders and was her patient for over five years. Something changed after the pandemic, and now I feel that it is more about the money and less about the patients. Waiting times increased, and it became a struggle to be seen for an emergency. In one case, Dr. Sanders prescribed a weak antibiotic for an infection that lingered and suggested to extract the tooth. I asked whether there was a stronger antibiotic, and when she prescribed it, the infection was cured in a few days and never had any problems with this tooth again. More recently, the receptionist did not file pre-approval paperwork with my insurance on time, and I was told that my appointment would be cancelled unless I paid for the service and be refunded when they would receive it from the insurance company. Also, although I needed one crown only, and Dr. Sanders never told me about four crowns, her office said that they put pre-approval paperwork for four crowns! When I asked the doctor,… she said that they ask for approval for more work because I may have needed more crowns. I don’t know if this is common practice, but it sounds weird to me. I won’t go there again, and a good lesson to everyone is to check the paperwork sent by the insurance detailing any work doctors have done. I am very disappointed, and all these are clear indications that the welfare of the patient does not come first.
