Dr. Nadia Hafeez Abbasi, MD

I'm new to TX and tried to do research on doctors before I made this appointment. My experience with Dr Abbasi and her staff was horrible!!! I went in hoping for a well visit and a consult for a previous condition. Of course they have to do those separately for insurance purposes. The day I went in it was so packed in the room with no sitting room. People were waiting in the halls as well. I had booked my appointment online and when I showed up they told me they had nothing in their system showing I had an appointment. I showed them my email and text confirmation to which they then relented to see me. Once I was seen I was told they would do the consult of my previous condition first. After I gave them my medical history and told them what was going on, they told me there was nothing they could do and they told me I would need to see a GYN. They recommended a specialist and charged me extra for the visit because I was a new patient. Almost $200 and I basically just gave them my info. I… called the GYN they gave me as a referral and his office was so confused because they are fertility specialists and he doesn't see anyone with my conditions. So then I had to find my own GYN. I went back to Dr. Abbasi reluctantly for my well visit about a month later. At this visit I'm told my heart rate is too low and they need to do an EKG. They do that test and then come in to tell me they see some abnormalities and they would like to do an Echocardiagram. So now I'm being sent to another referral with no real explanation of the problem. I called the office back after I left to see if they could explain it more and they were so rude and basically said the same thing they had before which made no sense. I'm 37 with no prior heart conditions or problems. I scheduled my Echo, went in got it done and a week and a half later still haven't heard anything. I call the dr. back and ask what the results were and they tell me they were never sent over from Memorial Hermann. She took down my name said they would call the hospital and call me back to let me know. I never heard back so when another day passed I called Memorial Hermann and they tell me they were sent over the day after my Echo. I then call Dr. Abbasi's office back to see what's going on and the nurse is so short and so rude, just in taking my name and date of birth. Then she tells me she sees the results and everything came back normal. No other details. No, I'm sorry this took so long for you. I am so appalled at the money I spent at this office for useless tests that were not even needed. It feels like they were just trying to get more money out of me. I've never met such unprofessional staff and Dr.'s. I hate that I now have to find another Dr. but believe me when I say I will never step foot in that office again. Stay away!!!

I would rate the doctor 0, if there is least. She is has not even acknowledged the patient to say hello at the least on the entry to room. Direct on to the computer screen. They Switched the doctor without notice and was seen by another doc by surprise on 1st visit. Inspite of repeated concern and mentioning of previous medication being taken, she prescribed and restarted with the minimal dosage for thyroid for which i suffered for more than an year for the deficiency of h.lvls. Terrible patient care. Check well before you go.

After a few years I had to look for a new family doctor, I am glad I found Dr. Abassi and her office. She listens, she doesn't make you order unnecessary exams like many other doctors do. The office is organized and I could notice they value your time, no long waiting period, great internet portal, if there is something to pay attention with your tests results they contact you promptly

Bedside manner is not up to standard. Not very responsive either. She takes so long to review chat. And does not have a very good interactive attitude towards her patient. Will not recommend her for anyone

I don't have a problem with Dr. Abbasi. She likes to communicate by telephone--and the person designated to leave a message is totally incomprehensible!
