Dr. Nafisa Kayam Kuwajerwala, MD

I visited Dr. Kuwajerwala to get MRI and Mammogram scripts as it was recommended by three other doctors due to my dense breast tissue and BRCA mutation. During the visit, Dr. Kuwajerwala initially pushed back on the MRI due to my age and then agreed to give me both scripts. A few months later I realized that she only gave me an MRI Script and not the mammogram... I called to get this fixed, but she refused to send me the mammogram script and said she recommends the MRI, which is weird considering she was against me doing MRI... Other than that, the whole appointment wasn't very helpful, every time I asked a question she'd talk and talk without answering my question. Also, she gave an attitude when I said I preferred going to Beaumont for my testing and not to Ascension which made me uncomfortable... Staff was very kind and professional.

I have never felt so looked down upon and demeaned by a doctor in my life. Sad

I have seen dr. K since 2008 with my first diagnosis. She is a angle. Dr K makes sure that you understand everything. Then with my second diagnosis in 2011. I have gone to all my follow up appointments and she is one great doctor.

I have seen many doctors in my life, and have yet to meet one like her. She is caring with empathy and excellent knowledge, research guidelines, which help you tailor your treatments to best suit your needs. Her advise is very realistic and follow-up is very thorough.
