Dr. Nancy Urazakova Neighbors, MD

What a gem I found. She is the only doctor that has ever suggested plant-based nutrition for weight loss. Finally, I understand why I've spent 20+ years on yo-yo diets. After two follow up visits, I can see the diet not only helps me lose weight but has also reduced cholesterol and blood pressure. Her advice was priceless.

Excellent diagnostic skills. Takes time needed. Definitely not your run of the mill urgent care doc. She even phoned in the evening to check on me.

My recent visit with Dr. Neighbors was exceptional. I was having a terrible time with my shoulder, but I didn't do anything in particular to hurt it. When I called the office to get in they were very quick in getting me in the same afternoon. Dr. Neighbors had her office manager set me up for a MRI and she got the appointment for the same day! I ended up with a rotator cuff injury that Dr. Neighbors treated me for and I feel so much better after 2 weeks of meds and therapy. I would recommend her to my family and friends.

My sister and I both go to her. It was my first visit and I've never had a doctor take their time with me. Normally I just want to go in & out as quickly as possible but that is only because of my anxiety makes it difficult and embarrassing to go to doctors. In fact, I don't think I've ever had a visit/checkup that lasted longer than 5-10 minutes, with no chance to explain how badly my problems have affected my entire life. She made me feel a lot better but something important for people like me is that she lead the conversation and asked questions. When suffering with anxiety, it's hard to think on-the-spot and other doctors I went to LONG time ago just stood there and waited for me to talk. Nothing wrong with that of course, but she seems to understand my condition and knew how to deal with it better than anyone else I've ever seen. She is a genuinely caring and kind person and her nurse and other staff were really nice. I really, really wish I had happened to go to her… when I first started having these problems, my life would be a lot different. But now I can hopefully focus on the future and with her help, get & stay healthy.

Dr. Neighbors is a wonderful, caring & intelligent physician. Not only is she professional but has an added personal touch of tender loving care. She is thorough and always willing to answer questions so patiently. My family is under her care and we all love her dearly. Her wait time to see her varies but for the most part fine . . . worth the wait in my opinion.

She makes me feel at ease and free to talk about sensitive issues - at least for me. Really liked the extra time she spent when I felt depressed. The office staff is also very nice. I especially like they way I can do my medical history on my PC at home before a visit.

In response to the comment from March... We are aware of the situation and unfortunately we work in an office with several different doctors. All of the receptionists work in the same common space. The "large" lady referred to is not an employee of Dr. Neighbors and that is why she did not speak/help. I agree that she should have been courteous to the patient no matter who her doctor is and we have addressed this with all the receptionists. It is our goal to treat each and every patient with respect. We are very pleased with our small staff of 4, each person is very accountable for our own actions. We strive to treat each and every patient as they were our own family member.

The staff has been changed out since my family started seeing Dr. Neighbors and needs to be changed out again. I recieved my bill and went in to pay it and walked up to the counter and the large girl behind the desk just looked at me and went back to what ever she was doing. Another girl came up in a couple of minutes and took my money [she was not the most personable herself]. The first girl should have politely spoken to me and said, "someone will be with you shortly" and then go on with her work. If Dr. Neighbors was not such a good Dr. and sweetheart, my family would be looking elsewhere.

My last four visits were really nice office visits with the answers I needed. I'm taking the whole family, my husband and then the children to her. She was a pediatrician before family practice and that gives me a lot of confidence in her as our family doc.
