Dr. Naginder Sharma, MD

Naginder Sharma, M.D., a multi-board-certified interventional cardiologist, has joined the Huguley office of HeartPlace, the oldest and largest cardiovascular group in North Texas.

As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Sharma treats structural disease of the cardiovascular system, including coronary artery disease, chest pain, congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, irregular heart rhythms and high cholesterol. He has extensive training and experience in cardiac catheterization, techniques of complex coronary intervention, stenting, sophisticated diagnostic procedures, and many other professional skills.

Before opening his Huguley practice, Dr. Sharma worked as a cardiologist for four years at Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, Missouri, where he served as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory. He was selected by his fellow physicians as a 2008 Top Doctor in 417 Magazine, which serves southwest Missouri.

Dr. Sharma completed his …internship, cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. After earning his medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College in India, he received additional training in the United Kingdom, where he practiced for four years and obtained the prestigious degree of Member of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr. Sharma is board certified in interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, general cardiology, adult echocardiography and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and he is a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
