Dr. Nagji Jadavji Sureja, MD

my title says it all and as far as jay and the staff are concerned he simply tells you what he can do when working with your insurance co. Believe me I'd rather know ahead of time what his opinion is before I get into a battle with my insurance ; it will help you in crafting a path for what you will need in treatment. Also dr. Sureja is a man that waste's little time with tests unless necessary, and will not hesitate if confirmation of his diagnosis is needed to refer you to a specialist that he trusts.

I never have a problem getting an appointment. I love whenever I call in, that his son is courteous and pleasant, (you can tell he's on the other end of the phone smiling) and Dr. S always takes care of me.

Absolutely the worst Physician I have ever encountered. No compassion! Will NEVER return and warning all that I can. Didn't do any of the things promised, but I still got a bill.

We have used Dr. Sureja a couple of times since our former doctor retired. Our son had a hairline fracture - was able to get x-rays in-house, which was probably cheaper, saved a lot of time, and was very convenient, and was treated effectively and efficiently. Another son was having some pain issues. Our retired doctor friend checked him out , including some blood work, and thought he should go to an arthritis specialist- we're talking HUNDREDS of dollars for the first visit alone to do that. Went to Dr. S. for a second opinion. He thought time and change in medication (nothing strong) would be the key and it was. I put follow up after a visit at 4 stars. Dr. S didn't initiate any follow up (calling to see how things were going), but it wasn't needed. I appreciated the fact that in both cases, when we were done, he was done. He didn't keep us coming back on pretense of following up just to tell us everything was fine. He didn't send us for a gazillion unnecessary tests. He… also has a reduced rate for self-pay patients.

I came to the doctor with some chronic conditions that are unfortunately "boring", and have had bad experiences with other doctors offices because I'm there a lot, but not challenging. Dr Sureja never treated me like a boring case, and actually was instrumental in getting my office closed due to the black mold that was all over, and making us sick. I don't know how you can say his son, Jay, is rude. He knows my voice when I call, and will listen to me ramble about my condition like the middle aged lady I am without cutting me off. (It's later I realize I've been talking his ear off!)The doctor also diagnosed a condition that was misdiagnosed by other doctors and I take about 3 fewer medications than I did and feel great! He will send you to specialists to verify your condition also. And as far as bedside manner...he really cares about his patients -- all aspects of them and their families. And will talk to you about any problems you are having. I just don't know what these… people were talking about who gave him poor ratings.

Easy to get an appointment, but do not advise going to this doctor other than for flu symptoms or an obvious minor medical problem. He does not keep up in his knowledge of newest methodology. Not a good diagnostician. Additionally, there seems to be a sexist cultural gap as this doctor does not treat womens' symptoms as seriously as men's. Finally, the receptionist (his son) is rude and condescending.

I'm sick, I call, I get right in that day, and he takes care of me. I love the staff too, always friendly and courteous.

This doctor is local to me and my family, however, he has repeatedly diagnosed incorrectly....to the point of hospitalization by other doctors. He has even done blood work incorrectly. This has not just happened to me, but also to many others that I know. I don't know how he is still practicing other then the fact people go to him because he is so quick and easy to get an appt. with. His son works with him, he also has a chip on his shoulder most of the time for some reason. Do not waste your time going here. It might save you time now, but you'll pay for it later!
