I'm writing this from Europe because I just spent the last several nights on the phone long distance with my mom because she is in immense pain. She needs a minor surgery from Dr Basel and has been waiting months in severe pain. He keeps brushing off her claims of pain and said "if you were child baring age you would already have this procedure" but since she is not she must wait months laid up in bed talking to her son ling distance in Europe to get her mind off the pain. I am very glad that my family in Europe does not have to pay insane amounts of money to support a multi billion dollar company like Kaiser to sit in pain. I have zero wait times with Universal Healthcare and patients come first. The treatment of patients in pain by Kaiser is appalling. I'm a retired Modesto Police Officer and have seen horrible treatment by Kaiser of patients my entire career and now they are doing the same for my mother. I would not give a cent to kaiser...best option is to just… move to a more enlightened part of the world where healthcare does not bankrupt families and leave them in pain. Kaiser has repeatedly ignored calls and messages to help her and Dr Basel has even asked to postpone the surgery. This is while his patient is in extreme pain daily and bedridden.

Dr. Basel listens even when the problem isn't what he was seeing me for and sent me in the right direction
