It’s been 8 months since I saw or heard from the office. There was an issue getting my medication filled, and I was told to wait. After a few months I went to a different doctor who got my medication filled within weeks. He also seriously told me to use lotion for psoriasis. To be short, lotion helps lessen that issue but in no way fixes it. And like I wouldn’t try to use lotion to fix seriously dry skin before coming to a doctor.

I found Dr. Tawfik a good listener and a compassionate doctor. I recommend him to anyone with a skin disease.

Saw him twice; first time he examined me for a rash but discovered a bump on my arm which I had for a while and didn’t pay attention to it. He brought it to my attention and recommended a biopsy. I received a call 10 days later confirming a skin cancer. Luckily it was an early one. He removed successfully during the second visit. My rash is gone too. Great service and a very kind man!

Great bed side manners, very knowledgeable and thorough. He removed several skin cancers and I see him regularly for skin monitoring. I recommended him to several of my friends and they all came out with a similar experience.

For more than 20 years I suffered from a persistent rash over my torso and extremities. I was seen by several doctors and was prescribed almost every type of cream on the market. Nothing helped. I was given many diagnoses, like fungus, hives, and an allergic reaction! I was miserable as it was very itchy. It was hard to sleep at night. I saw Dr. Tawfik upon a friend’s recommendation. After a thorough examination he decided to obtain 2 skin biopsies and he explained that one was for a very special test and will be sent out of town to rule out a rare autoimmune type of rash. He was right on and it came back exactly as he thought. I was started on an oral medicine and my skin is completely normal. Now I can sleep again and be able to live a normal life. He sees me regularly to monitor the medication and my skin. Thank you so very much.

Rude, obnoxious nurse, even ruder doctor, was told to stop talking, he knew what he was looking at. Will not go back.

He’s so rude it’s insane. Not to mention he destroyed my skin. Wouldn’t go back for a billion dollars.

After today worst experience! You would expect some kind of diagnosis !

An unbelievably bad experience. It was like someone pushed a button during the appointment and he flew into a loud and angry rage, yelling, yes a grown man who is a board certified doctor raised his voice and *yelled* at me and his nurse before storming out of the room. He took one look at my facial scar and became instantly furious over the fact that he believed I had caused my own skin problems (turns out despite his expert diagnosis it is likely discoid lupus). He refused to listen to any of the history I was trying to explain and from outside the room loudly berated his nurse when she inquired how to write up the visit. There was no point in submitting it to my insurance company since "She did it to herself." he angrily announced to the entire office, and likely every person in the waiting room. It was a shocking and surreal tantrum which, from the responses of some of his staff, was not the first one they had been subjected to. If you make an appointment with him cause he is… the only dermatologist who can see you right away, have your cell phone ready to document his hateful bedside manner. I sure wish I had.
