I agree with the other reviews as long as your child does not have any issues that need serious medical attention. If you need to see Dr. Shammas for colds, shots, sport clearance, etc. She is great. But if your child comes up with a serious or semi-serious injury due to sports or whatever, this office is not equipped to handle. The staff is not expedient nor effective in helping you through the insurance process. Yes, HMOs require referrals but if you have visited the ER, have gotten reports that say you need to see a specialist and have brought the child into Dr. Shammas just to poke at her and then say, see a specialist, the staff should get on it right away! I shouldn't have to check back on the afternoon of the next day just to be told, call the insurance company. We submitted the request. Although I was going to wait until my daughter was older to switch PCPs, after this incident, I'm moving her over to my PCP as soon as possible.

very easy to discuss with her about your child. kids just love her. she is calm which helps parents & kids alike to calm down too.

My oldest son is 19 and my youngest son is 15. We have been going to Dr Shammas for 19-years. She is an amazing, caring, responsive Dr. My children (well, young men) have been so luck to have her as their Physician!!
