Dr. Nalini Velayudhan, DO

Called after checking on line for a list of doctors who accept medicaid and are accepting new patients. Spoke with Stephanie Torres who is in dire need of training. She started off by saying they don't accept medicaid. I told her I was online and Dr. V was listed as accepting Medicaid, Torres then said they aren't accepting new patients. I told her I had specifically marked the tab for doctors accepting new patients. Torres then said, oh ... uh .... we're only accepting established medicaid patients. When I asked, if a patient is established then how can they listed as accepting new patients? Torres' response, uh, uh, uh that's all I can tell you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Velayudhan for the past two years. In my experience, she has conducted herself in a consistently professional manner - very efficient, thorough, proactive and courteous. Understandably, Dr. V must maintain an efficient schedule. While she does not waste time during appointments, she has always addressed my concerns & questions thoroughly. I appreciate her clear, concise framing of medical issues, as well as her practical & pragmatic recommendations for wellness. I have found Dr. Velayudhan to be a very effective physician - knowledgeable, personable, and supportive.

Some of the new staff members are terribly rude. When you voice your displeasure Dr. Velayhuden doesn't even care to call you back and address the issue. There are much better practices out there that appreciates that a patients time is as important as a Dr's time and doesn't make you wait 30-45 minutes after your scheduled appointment time. Dr. V........Straighten up your staff !!!
