Dr. Nam Ky Lam, MD

Dr Lam was all 4 of my children's pediatrician until he changed office's. Excellent bedside manor.He was always patient and caring and would check up on my asthmatic daughter after she would have a bad attack. If he moved back to Brea I would switch my last 2 minors back to him in a heartbeat.

I'm extremely sad that Dr. Lam is no longer at the Brea Kaiser. When my son's records showed he had severe asthma and allergy problems and had visited the ER multiple times as a baby, Dr. Lam called me and said he was in charge of allergy and asthma Pediatrics and he wanted to be my son's doctor. Under his care, my son's asthma got under control. Dr. Lam also taught me what to do as a parent in caring for my son at home. He was my son's doctor for over a decade. I was devastated when he moved to Foothill Ranch. My kids don't get sick very often and get medical attention even less when they do get ill (because we just let a sickness run its course,) so it's not worth it for us to travel the long distance to change doctors, but if my son still needed help, Dr Lam would be the doctor I would select in order to get the best care.

Dr Lam is amazing! He spends time with his patients, explains every bit of detail and is extremely respectful. My 3 sons have known him since birth, unfortunately he moved facilities and is now further away from us, but we are highly considering going to see him even though his office is now an hour away. I have seen many pediatricians over the past 6 years and no one comes close to Dr. Lam! If you are considering a pediatrician in the OC, Dr. Lam is your guy!

Our 2 boys have been under the care of Dr Lam Pediatrics. My wife is in the medicial field as a doctor and I am a peace officer who has been the PTA President of my sons' school for 3 years. We are mindful of the ups and downs of medicine/life, are very good in our careers, and strive to be great examples to our boys; these all hold true with Dr Lam. He treats us with respect, genuine concern, and informs us completely of pros & cons of certain treatments or diagnosis (we can take it and want to know). If you are serious with partnering up with a physician as a team and not just expect and demand he solves ALL YOUR problems, Dr Lam is an excellent person to work with. He has never caused any of the problems but has expert knowledge and experience (I know he wears multiple professional hats) to solve my family's medicial challenges. A+++ all the way.

Dr. Lam is an excellent doctor! He has treated our twins since their premature birth, and has made the process of parenting premature babies and toddlers manageable. He educates us and helps us better understand what is going on with our children--and why; he spends time with us, explains things in detail, and gives us outcomes to look forward to! He promptly responds to emails and his office often 'fits us in' when we need to be seen at the last minute. He is a wonderful and highly educated doctor: knowledgeable, professionally aggressive in treatment, and sensitive to issues--even if he doesn't always agree. We love Dr. Lam!!!
